Rb25de neo rear water spigot

Hello all, I’m in abit of a predicament as my coolant leak fixes are beginning to look like ass, and when trying to find this replacement part to hopefully fix my hose management, it seems long gone. I have tried places like amayama and souqparts. Anyone have any ideas on where to source this?

appreciate any input :)

Let's just consider this more fully then, shall we?

Not available anywhere? Check.

What is it made from? It's made from a threaded fitting and a couple of pieces of pipe.

Could it be made in 2 hours by someone with a welder and some raw materials? Maybe a lathe if you want to make the threaded part from scratch? Yep. You bet your girlie arse it could.

Would I make it from scratch if I needed it? Yep. Bet your girlie arse again.

Would I even go to the lengths of getting it cad plated? Probably. At least zinc passivated. It's not hard to do it yourself, but you could always sneak it into a basket at a plater's for a couple of beers.

 

Useless advice? No f**king way. You are just typical of the weenie approach to everything that the modern generations have adopted. If it can't be 3D printed or bought from an on-line vendor, it is IMPOSSIBLE!

Yah ! Id remake it ! And remake it in brass so you don't ever have to do it again.

Can you get it off the block ?

If so then take it down to a fitting place and grab a hose barb with the same block thread and main tube size.

Also grab a smaller hose barb to do the right angle one coming out of the main one.

Cut off the threaded end off the smaller hose barb

Drill a hole to the main hose barb the in the same position as the original small one and then press in the small piece and solder it into place.

Did similar to my R33 to replace rusted out, nickel plated, steel fittings over the years.

Hey man do you remember the thread it was? I read somewhere it was a 3/4 bsp but it won’t thread it so now unsure

Nope that was quite some time ago and all I did was take it out of the block and took it to them and said "want this in brass please" !

Of coarse they said " don't have it with the sticky out the side thingy " and then went through the above to make it happen.

I think you will have the same scenario and anyway, one way or another, the original has got to come out of the block.

Also I don't really think its 3/4 BSP as that's imperial !

Probably got to be metric coming out of Japan !

Maybe ! Should be ! 

Could be wrong though !

Be in the 19mm range !

Probably ?

Nope. Jap threads are BSP by another name. JIS PT = BSPT (where the T means Tapered, not thread, as is commonly mistaken).

Note that I don't know if the target thread here is BSP/JIS or something else either. But.... if you've got the original in hand, then you have all that you need to know. Just measure the thread.

    • To add to that very useful summary, even in the race/rally r32 gtr I have good quality, new(ish) poly bushes everywhere because that is what rules require, and the handling is excellent. Of course, the car doesn't do many klm but I'd still expect poly bushes to last better in road use than sphericals (especially as I have a couple of klm of dirt road to stuff sphericals up) I would change the front upper arms to spherical if I was allowed to, because the poly bushes flog out often, but otherwise new bushes (and ball joints) and a good alignment can make a world of difference

    • Hi all, I need to get this HKS SLD attached to my stock ECU because I've now got the German autobahn and faster European circuits to contend with.  The car is a manual 2dr ER34 with an AT ECU and I've realised the AT ECU has two pins for speed sensor signals: Pin 29: Vehicle speed sensor signal (Vehicle speed sensor 2) Pin *58: Output shaft rotation sensor signal (Vehicle speed sensor 1) - *RB25DET A/T model only Before I go butchering this harness, is anyone sure of which pin is the correct one for signal adjustment?     • Slimline sub on the rear parcel shelf is doable. Pioneer TS-WX140DA is only 70mm high.   
    • People like Johnny Dose Bro might be laughing at my post because I accidentally added 100mm to my numbers. 350-355 is indeed the lower limit. 450 is off-road Skyline spec.
