Just outta interest .. does that mean the r32 dash is out of the question, or isit rumoured ,or isit known that its do-able out there as a swap?

I'd prefer r32 dash over the a32 because the a32 one looks almost the same as the stock a31 dash.

Any more thoughts or info?

yeah it is american... but much cheaper than japanese guages...

yeah id rather have the R32 dash as well... but if the A32 is less hassles i think i might go with that and **** the whole custom idea off...

That dash upgrade looks the go

found autometer arent super reliable might vary from series but i had 17psi on my am phantom series guage and 13.5psi on a dynodynamics dyno at the same time seen teh same on the carbon series

hmmmm we should be able to get stuff like this from NZ seeing as its parts and not a whole car the price should be the same if not better.

might see if my dad can get me one... he knows a number of people in the car selling industry over there.

The R32 Dash fits in the S13 Sivlia, so it should go close to fitting into an A31. The part that butts up against the window has to be planed down to match the profile of the window.

The rear bar which holds and reinforces the dash pad bolts straight in, but I would recommend having a complete dash, i.e something still in a 1/2 cut if the conversion was going to be undertaken!

i'm still in progress to fix the r32 dash into my cefiro..needs some modifications on the air cond vents, but still i think the front part has to be cut off little bit to make it even with the front screen....hell of a job to do...worse still the air cond vents can break easily..

Would you mind taking a few photos as you do it cefiro-rb20 ? That'd be great cos I think alot of people are interested in r32 dash in ceffies.

Also when you mean you have to cut it off you mean the part that sits next to the windscreen/firewall is too long and has to be cut down to make it fit flush at the front?

ta!

i haven't complete the transplant...but from wat i've seen it doesn't really fit.First i thought the front part ( near the windscreen ) has to be cut off by 0.5 inch but then the gear console has to move also, and the glove compartment does'nt go in cause of the air cond cooling coil casing..my mechanic says it a hard job to do.Wat his going to do is to trim the side wall of the dashboard...n there still a loop hole on the left & right side of the windscreen...its hard to describe in writing cause i not to good in english.

About the pics I will try to post some...

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
