WARNING: Very sneeky sneeky undercover cop car...

Recommended Posts

Was having a few brew's tonight at my local and a fight erupted between some locals and some passing by plumbers (I drink at the BURV cos I can roll across the road after work and I don't drive to work on most Friday's)

Anyway, after fight was stoped. Cops arrive and one cop car caught my eye.

I saw two uniformed officers get out of a Navy Blue Mirage. Not any old Mirage, this one had an aftermarket front spoiler, side skirts, 3" exhaust tip plus (this is the killer) it had those neon blue lights on the bonnet for the winsheild washer squirt things. No way I would have picked it as a cop car in a million years.

So next time you see a Mirage... Look twice B4 playing up.

where exactly was this?? damn, those sneaky bastard are getting on my nerves but what bothers me is that they are hypocrites, ive seen cars get pulled over for those lights...

The BURV (good pub... once you get the "feel" for the place) is on the corner of Burwood Hwy and Springvale Rd.

lol... i sometimes pass by the area, if i saw that car i would roll down my window and say "hows it going officer??"... or an even better idea would be to challenge em to a drag (rev your engine) but when the lights hit green just stick to the speed limit and laugh... :(

Beer goggles on... yes. 100% sure it was a Mirage.

Good old Burv. Like I said I work across the road and with all the other multi-national companys (HP - MYOB - Motorola - Cannon - CFA - VIC Roads) you can get a nice spread of office chicks and surburban bunnys + the "ruffnecks" and it all blends in well and creates a great atmosphere for a Friday drink with workmates (even bettter in summer - large beer garden) and there is 6 pool tables. It not a place you would through a birthday party or go to "hang out" on the weekend. It serves it's purpose as a place to wet your whistle after a big week at work.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
