Our no.2 car ran 12.9 all day at Drag combat Final battle it was absolutely bog stock except for a cat back exhaust.ie:no boost controller even running factory airbox.so that would be the benchmark i would think.DIRTgarage.

a local R32 GTR up here in Townsville did a 11.6 @118mph just had usual bolt on's trust exhaust, usual intake mods cam gears power fc ,intercooler and a good clutch the rest was stock turbo, engine and gearbox. This was done on one of australia's worst drag strips in the middle of a 28 degree day!

A Stock car breaking a driveshaft... what the hell.

I have done consistent low 12's with a stock clutch.. brand new but still stock.

Hey even my brothers GF has done consistent low 12's in his GTR and a stock clutch.. :P

Say 12-13psi, on stock 225/50/16's and a mid rpm range clutch drop (depends on track) easy low 12's every time.

You have to know how to change gears fast though, changing like an 80yr old woman will not give you fast times. :P

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
