Just thought i'd start a spotted cefiro thread. :)

Was driving along canley vale today (sat 11/09/04) and i see a black stock cefiro tailing me. If its one of you nsw guys on the forum. I gave him a wave and so did he.. Sothing about seeing other ceffys around. I can prtty much count the number of ceffys in sydney atm. This is the first NSW one ive seen in 3 months apart from nissaners one.

Spotted: JIMMAH - Black Cefiro owned by Jimmah, and ENEMIE - White Cefiro owned by Adam. Both from WA and recently competed in the Drift Nats. Spotted yesterday at Collie for the G Speed Drift Day. Cefiros taking out 1st,2nd and 3rd positions! Clean sweap!

I rolld past a sweet looking black cef, with the plates CEFFIE or similar tonight on the way back from the gym, was parked on pacific highway near st leonards. Good to know there are other cefs on the north shore!! I slowed right down but no one was in the car so i kept going... is the owner on here?

I saw that car in Norton St (Leichhardt) last week. Sounded pretty horn too :)

HEHE that was me! i was doing a radio show at 2UE. :headspin:

I have seen a stock black one on parramatta road, i gave the dude a beep and he smiled. 20/8/04

I have also seen a white one with a RB20/5/6 hybrid that puts out 300orr rwkw. it looks kinda stock but the dude showed me under the bonnet and my jaw dropped. it was in leichhardt.10/9/04

we really need to do a sydney cefiro cruise. Are any of you guys going to the Initial Drift practice session this sunday?

if any i syd boyz wann ceffy cruise count me in.

i pulled out of that one (initial drift day) bc im going raving the night b4. man u cant be peaking and driftiong at the same time. would spin u out or u could really hurt yourself. LOL

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.

    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
