Random pull overs.. when were you last pulled over?

Recommended Posts

I was wondering how often W.A skyline drivers are getting pulled over these days whilst driving along minding their own business... are the cops still going nuts with yellow stickers or have they toned down a bit? What areas do you think are police hot spots?

It seems most the pullovers are late at night. What sort of areas were you guys in when pulled over? Has anyone been pulled over during peak hour before?

First time I was pulled up on west coast drive in north beach in the middle of the day.

Second time was on the Boulevard in Floreat at about 8pm

I was pulled over after picking my car up from the previous owner. I had owned the car less than 5 minutes.

In all i had 3 pullovers and checks done. All were routine license checks that ended up with my bonnet up. No yellows were issued... Also 2 were afternoon and 1 was night.

All times ive been pulled over ive deserved it ........ everytime ive never been asked to pop my bonnet.

Even had police drive my car and were rather complimentry about it after :D

0 yellows *touch wood*

hmmm reminds me - gotta work out how many points are left on my license ..... lost 4 points the other day to a police officer who was hiding in someones front yard behind their shrub in an unmarked car with a radar at 9am on a saturday morning ..... prick!

i found that when attending car cruise's you up your chances 100 fold of getting pulled over and defected. when just normal driving the police dont seam to have a problem at all as long as your not attracting attention to yourself.

If only that were true, the vast majority of time I haven't been on a cruise, and just been sitting in traffic. The cops single me out from all the rest, just cause it's an import:(

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?

    • Yep four point harness. Mounted to a bolted in brace running behind the seats. Dont use it for daily driving tbh but good to have for when its needed plus it looks cool.
