bobsgirl,

what your saying is right to an extent, but then there should be no double standards. what exactly is "a bit too far" over the limit?

what 10kms?20kms?30kms?

IF what your saying is right then, and everyone should get what they deserve then anyone that goes 1km/hr over the speed limit should be penalised. There should be no double standards. its either your over the limit or your not, your cant be speeding "a bit too much"

I got what i deserve but what i get really pisssssed off about is when i hear some idiot drinkin driving, being caught 3 times and letting a toddler take the wheel for him and being only fined 900 when i get a 1600 fine for being over the limit. Tell me who has a better chance of crashing or harmin some1? or some guy racing and dont even get a fine. The law we have in place has too many flaws in it...so no most of you are wrong, not everyone gets what the deserve. Some get harsher penalties then others who have done 10X worse then them. So i dont seee the problem of trying to reduce the fine or suspension....if some idiot doing a lot worse then you is getting off for less...

U'll only ever do it once and then 3 - 6 months will seem like a really really long time.....I got done on a country road late at night and have regretted it ever since....not only because of the fine and loss of license, but also because I couldn't afford to go to 2 track days and really speed in a legal environment.

I'll not be pressured by other motorists to speed and I'll be saving it for the track.

I get what you are saying guilty but , the law is the law, now i am not saying that someone going 1 km over the speed limit is in need of a fine , i am saying that if you are going that far over the limit , x2 over from what i can see, then you are going to get what is coming to you, just think , maybe if the cop hadn't stop you, you might have crashed 5 km's down the road( this is no reflection of your driving skill. purely hypothetical) that means that you just paid $1600 for your life is that not fair, you only choose to see it as a misfortune not a luck.as for drink driving, i don't want to go there.

(when i was a lad) lmao i was caught 140,in a 80 zone with no p plates on, raceing my mate i had a six commodore he had a 8 any way a detectives car pulled me up let him go but tryied 2 get info of him out of me , i was shitting my pants then they told me to have a look at the radar and wrote my details down on the back of a maccas drink tray and told me i will get something in the mail and pissed off in a hurry (p plates gone) so i was shitting 4 2 weeks waiting , and geuss what nothing ever happend (maybe they they got that hungry they ate the box 2 (good luck)- but save your power 4 the strip or dyno shoot outs (save money-lives;; have-fun ) in 1 hit

I hate when people have a bitch about the situations other find themselves in. i am sure everyperson or the vast mmajority of people on these forums has had a illegal street race or speeding etc... He did the crime now he has to do the time, its that simple. Not everyone can afford to or has the time to go to "team track day"

lol /me shakes head...yeah those track days are really expensive...

you do know it only costs $80 for a full day at a Wakefield Park Open day plus $40 per year for a Wakefield Licence???

before we all jump him for his team trackday comment.. I think this is where SAU should be helping people out.

Tosh whilst you know how much a trackday costs, he may not know or have anyone to go with. If I was him and I read some of the posts in here I would have no intention of joining the club or attending any events.

We have all been in trouble with the fuzz at one stage or another.. People who live in glass houses..

.. People who live in glass houses..shouldn't do 140 in a 70 zone...

:P

no one should..

I dont condone it, but I am also saying that no one is perfect. I know for a fact that some people with in the community have lost licenses for speeding. Whilst they now say take it to the track they learned the lesson the hard way.

Just hate the whole kicking a man when he is down. He ****ed up and he is paying for it with fines and loss of license. Now lets use this opportunity to say yeah dude you ****ed up but did you nkow you can come to the track and its not expensive.

:werd: :D

As an aside, it's true jnrR32 didn't try to justify his actions. He just wondered what he was up for and everyone is entitled to their day in court. ;)

It's all the others who try and justify 140 along Homebush Bay Drive that have nfi...:P

i agree with your last comment red.. and 100% with carlo! Also, i do find track days to be expensive... i'm just talking about wakefield here (don't know about the others)... but you spend about $100 in fuel just to get there, (my car!) plus track expenses.. plus food... i've found my last track days have been about $200-$250... now to me, thats ALOT of money! and thats not even including wear and tear of the car!! and there will be ALOT of that, cause you won't drive like a pansey out there! its alot when you think about it! well.. for me it is!

Now, i'm not saying thats justification for speeding on the roads, i'm just pointing out to everyone that its not as cheap as implied by most posts!

Let's say I was to do the motoconcepts track day next oct 28th:

Fuel there and back ~$17 (~100 km round trip)

track day $140

fuel on day ~$60

Total=~$232

now compare that to a friday night cruise with getting busted for speeding:

fuel for cruise ~$20

speeding "More than 15 km/h but not more than 30 km/h" $208

Total= ~$243

1st one is legal and you are less likely to damage your car, it gets my vote. ;)

    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
