The ones you just made (pic above this post) are the best lids i've seen.

Looking very aggressive >:) Good job!

Can you post some more photos of that one? With more light if possible and looking staright on instead of looking down.

If you were to sell these, how much?

Cheers~!

thanx for the compliment, as soon as i get up in the morning i'll post a few more pics.

im quite happy with these eyelids, but i will have about 4 different types for people to choose from.

i knew these latest ones would be the most popular so i cut 5 pairs at work today in case i stuffed a pair or whatever.

the pair in the photo where made from 0.6mm colourbond metal (rustproof i think) sprayed with etch primer rustproof paint, 2 coats, then 3 coats of primer putty to get out any discrepencies, lightly sanded then 3 coats of gloss black followed by one smooth coat of clear laquer, looks professional i reckon.

only problem is i temporarily fastened it with double sided tape so i could post the pictures.

in the morning i'll fasten them down with silicon, that way they'll be secure, but if i decide to remove them one day the silicon will be easy enough to remove with a scraper or just by pealing it off without any damage to the headlight.

i will be selling these eyelids, probably prepared with everything i mentioned above excluding the paint and the laquer, that way all you'll have to do is spray them according to the colour of your car, and gluing them down in whatever way you want...

havent come up with a price as yet, i'll get back to you on that.

thanx for all your input guys, really appreciated.

if you have any other ideas on designs for eyelids for the r33 series 1 let me know ([email protected]) or if you want eyelids for any other car let me know, only problem is i'll need at least the outline of the top of the headlight, if you know what i mean. the way i designed these eyelids was trial and error (cut 1, run to the car, check it, alter it, ran back to the computer, redesigned it, cut it, tried again) or if theres anything you need laser cut also let me know, i have a post in the sau classifieds on laser cut jobs, go there for more info...

well, i think im happy with the final product of the last set of eyelids i posted.

i will be putting these in the sau classifieds for $30 a pair, sprayed with 2 coats of etch primer for rust prevention, followed by 3 coats of primer putty, so all you have to do is spray them the colour you want, and glue them on.

thanx again for all your replies and opinions, it helped alot.

i dont know but how will any1 ever know that your parkers arent meant to be in the front bar and the indicators where your parkers are??

i did it because i thought the orange indicators in the front bar look crappy. plus i wanted some decent spotlights, now i do

laser cut the brackets for them too... laser sure comes in handy

    • That looks good, but I think you're going to need much beefier side skirts now.
    • They are daft and there's a reason it never caught on. Steering feel? We don't need no stinking steering feel!
    • I gotta pull you up on this. It's driving me crazy. A shutter is something that closes, like over a window or in a cmera. The word you want is shudder. That LSD is clearly f**ked. Take it to a diff shop and get it disassembled and examined by an expert. YOu might have plates welded together or something equally crazy.
    • Define "starting to fail". Wy not just rebuild them?
    • Check the Nistune doco. There are a few assumptions being made here that might not be valid. I will list the things that occur to me: Base map. Base map for what? Base map for Z32? Then the cranking pulse width is probably wrong for an RB25. The extra 500cc of capacity might well be enough to prevent it from catching. Base map for RB25? I don't think you can load one of those into a Z32. You have to just make the settings correct for an RB25 in the Z32 base map. That is either K or the TIM to get the pulsewidth right. Loom. You bought a loom for an RB. And you plugged it into a Z32 ECU. Did you make sure that any iwre differences were swapped. From memory, there's at least a couple. And as per the others, I would suggest making sure that the fuel pressure is correct while cranking and that the injectors are actually flowing as expected. They really must come out and go on the bench, unless you do find that you have messed up as per above points. I would also suggest watching in Nistune to make sure that everything is reading correctly. That the correct binary flags are raised at the right time (like the crank signal), that there's no stupid values in K or TIM. That you have not got mismatched firmware for the ECU and/or a wrong image loaded.
