I am apparantly a millioniare

Just got this funny email from some lawyer in Gana saying that someone with the same last name as me has died in gana and had 12.5 million dollars in a bank account at some gana bank and that they have not being able to find their next of kin, and they have found me as one of them

Apparantly i am entitled to 25% of the 12.5 million!!!!

I replied back to say yes i am a distant relative of this person and what i need to do next (I have never heard of the person they are talking about even tho i have the same last name). I am waiting for the scam part where i have to send them some money as a fee or something.

Has anyone else had this scam tried out on them?

seems like an original scam but a scam none the less. Ive never gotten that particular one but ive gotten the "buy land on mars" scam a few times. i wonder how many people actually fall for them?

Hahahaha, yeah, that's dodgey as! We get those scams at work all the time. They ask for your bank or credit card details so they can deposit it! You've goto be fu_ckin crazy to do that. Just ask them to send you a cheque!!! Cha cha ching!

I had this done to me a while back, they then ask for your account details to transfer the money into...

so give them all your details....
