For those who know Me, I'm back. Well, for at least one thread anyway.

For those who haven't yet had the pleasure, look me up and learn.

Shit has been far too unfunny round here for far too long. Therefore we are gonna try something similar to a old thread of mine. In this case though, we aren't gonna "Just Ask Wardest". In this case you are gonna ask me questions regarding some form of conflict you may be having and I'm gonna PASS JUDGEMENT.

Thats right folks, I'll TELL you who's wrong and who's right.

So lay it on me, it may be an small arguement with you Woman or great big legal problem, I don't mind. I'll judge anything

Responses may take a while but you will have my opinion eventually.

HOWEVER!!!! Please remember that this is for my own amusement and that essentially I don't really give a stuff about you or your problems be they real or fabricated.

To all you Noobs who are gonna begin asking "Whos this dickhead?"

I will allow you this one indiscretion, but sit down, behave and I'll let you off with a warning.

Leewah, Pred, Nark, Horus, Ash, Inasnt, Funk, how are ya fellas? Welcome me back with open arms and lets do this thing.

"My friendship, you know you want it"

-Bart Simpson.

Firts Question / Judgment... to get some AIR TIME for my issue and so you can all feel sorry for me also.

Import compliance was organised through "X" and I have collected car minus engineers certificate ($650) Car was booked in for Registration 3 days after I picked up car and was advised by "X" that I would have certificate in time for Registration. Registration has come and gone... booking has been lost ($32) I have not heard from "X" in the last 4 Days. I have now decided to go elsewhere and get engineering done and will be spending approx. $1200 to $1700 to get car engineered and RWC issued. This is all going to take TIME and I will also most probably have to forfit my Sandown Track Day on 17th ($85) that I have paid for and also miss out on the CRUSE on 16th (no financial issue but still annoying)

So, I am now out of pocket $767 and will need to spend alot more to get car on the road... I have a contract with "X" and would like your judgment on options A and B.

A. Ask for all out of pocket expences (in a nice manner, if I can get through to "X")

B. Take legal action (probaly not worth it and I seriously CBF dealing with "X" any longer)

I rest my case.

Dear Judge Wardest,

It's good to have you back on board and posting again for the time being.

Considering I am one of your better friends and have known you longer than any other forum goers, I'm gonna kick this one off.

Who should I vote for this weekend?

I love the idea of an economy in good hands and a proven track record of previous years has shown me that the coallition is doing a good job. The only problem is a PM who seems to be not very clued in on the goings on of his own ministers and has to ask G.W Bush whether he can wipe his bum or not.

I am however also intrigued by this Latham character who promises the World but has been blamed for letting a local council economy fall on it's a$$ in the short time he was managing it? I would take this to mean that with a supposed AU$800 billion budget, he could righteously fark that up too even though he wouldn't be the treasurer.

The track record for the ALP has hardly impressed me with the level of interest rates considering the last ALP PM who is now a pig farmer in some secluded area. What does impress me about the ALP though is their promises to help people in my socioeconomic group who don't earn $1,000,000 a year. Can he really provide the solutions for me? Will I suffer in other ways when he helps me out with these promises?

Does the advertising I see on TV influence my opinions of both parties? Probably, but isn't that what the ads are suppposed to do?

Right now, I'm leaning towards the More Beer Party even though I don't drink but I want to support my friends who would benefit from my precious vote.

Does "X" have pubic Lice? Just wondering.

Work out exactly what you want and then go for it. You "CBF" attitude doesn't encourage me to wrack my brain about how best to help you. My advice is an attiude adjustment and then go to town on "X" and get what's yours.

OK HOLD IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Voting ( Hey Dave, hope ya rocking ) and people's rectums are not my concern.

Give me issues of conflict, fights, arguments, that sort of thing.

I want to tell people they are "WRONG" or "RIGHT" I don't actually care about solutions or how people actually feel.

Now, who has a simple issue which needs the protagonist labled?

Ok.

Here we go then....

I have a new project car in mind which involves buying a fairly cheap car and modifying it in a way which hasn't been done in Australia yet. It will involve the car being off the road for around 6 months having all the new stuff done to it. The dilema here is that all this money will be poured into something which will most likely be unroadworthy and illegal but highly styled and a performance animal!!

The other option is to get into a nice comfy Euro and use it as my daily driver as well as a track car unmodded. It will cost more than the project car but resale value will be better and there will be less headaches with servicing and broken bits as it will remain unmodded. I will also be driving it everyday which I think justifies the extra $$$ it will cost initally.

The GF is telling me I'm nutz to do another project car and do the Euro. I love the idea of the project and am really thinking it maybe more fun to do even if the hassles present themselves.

Judge Wardest, am I right in doing the project car or should I listen to a level headed 3rd party and settle down with the Euro and cruise in comfort?

Leewah,

Anyone telling you to not do what your biological urges tell you is WRONG!!!!

Yes men have them too but for far more logical, worthwile and economically reasonable things other than screaming kids.

I hate kids, they make women fat and ugly, people poor and they irritate the crap out of me.

But back to my point. Leewah, DO WHATEVER THE HELL YOU DAMN WELL PLEASE!!!!! If anyone cracks it at you for this. Turf her...."ahem' I mean, just do as you please anyway. ITS YOUR HOUSE, YOUR GARAGE AND YOUR CAR!!!

CBF'ed big time because I have "only given you the milky residue" of this cum dripping story. Some say I am "GREEN" others "KIND" because I try to have have faith in my fellow brothers... why do people lie? I have been pulled along this ride for too long now and if I were to encounter or have a conversation with "X" I would not know what to do with myself. :uzi: Is it time to get LOCO? I don't think so. As I get bridies landing on my shoulder frequently now days with stories of "X" and it is becoming clear that there is probably no point pushing what can't be done by "X" for whatever reason.

Attitude adjustment I can understand... but I think I will have inner peace and my car on the road alot quicker if I just walk away and make mental note to self about my faith in people (because you all suck :P)

ahh the pink shirt conflict... age old classic... i told my gf I'd wear a very pale pink shirt (not full pink mind you) if she wore the pointy shoes with stilleto like heels. To which she retorted that they were uncomfy and just another trend. At which point she realised that so were pink shirts.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, My nefarious plan has worked perfectly.

This forum has been dull, boring and dry for so damn long and now I’VE sparked it up again. At least that’s the way I see it so I’m therefore satisfied.

What’s that you say? Who do I think I am telling you that your forum is boring?

Oh, you must be a NOOB. NOOB NOOB NOOB. Because as far back as I can remember, this forum used to be amusing. Christ!! I almost began to wish the VL boys would come back to liven it up again………….ALMOST.

Now, those who were witness to sheer brilliance which was the “Just ask Wardest” thread will recognise this stage as the point at which I PULL THE PLUG.

Therefore Anyone with a real problem or anyone needing real life conflict resolution can go and get ffffffffffffffffffar away. As I stated in the opening post, I don’t really care at all. This thread was for my amusement only. Any joy anyone else gleaned from it was purely coincidental and, I assure you, unintended.

However this thread has provided be with much amusement in the few short hours its been active. Keep it going if you want, I’m sure I’ll be happy to offer you more pearls of my infinite wisdom however as for passing judgement, find someone else who’s gonna do it for you.

Sorry for leaving you out there Dark.

If offence is taken at any comment issued by Wardest it is because said comment was provoked and liability lies wholly with the offended party.

    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
    • Any update on this one? did you manage to get it fixed?    i'm having the same issue with my r34 and i believe its to do with the smart entry (keyless) control module but cant be sure without forking out to get a replacement
    • So this being my first contribution to the SAU forums, I'd like to present and show how I had to solve probably one of the most annoying fixes on any car I've owned: replacing a speedometer (or "speedo") sensor on my newly acquired Series 1 Stagea 260RS Autech Version. I'm simply documenting how I went about to fix this issue, and as I understand it is relatively rare to happen to this generation of cars, it is a gigantic PITA so I hope this helps serve as reference to anyone else who may encounter this issue. NOTE: Although I say this is meant for the 260RS, because the gearbox/drivetrain is shared with the R33 GTR with the 5-speed manual, the application should be exactly the same. Background So after driving my new-to-me Stagea for about 1500km, one night while driving home the speedometer and odometer suddenly stopped working. No clunking noise, no indication something was broken, the speedometer would just stop reading anything and the odometer stopped going up. This is a huge worry for me, because my car is relatively low mileage (only 45k km when purchased) so although I plan to own the car for a long time, a mismatched odometer reading would be hugely detrimental to resale should the day come to sell the car. Thankfully this only occurred a mile or two from home so it wasn't extremely significant. Also, the OCD part of me would be extremely irked if the numbers that showed on my dash doesn't match the actual ageing of the car. Diagnosing I had been in communication with the well renown GTR shop in the USA, U.P.garage up near University Point in Washington state. After some back and forth they said it could be one of two things: 1) The speedometer sensor that goes into the transfer case is broken 2) The actual cluster has a component that went kaput. They said this is common in older Nissan gauge clusters and that would indicate a rebuild is necessary. As I tried to figure out if it was problem #1, I resolved problem #2 by sending my cluster over to Relentless Motorsports in Dallas, TX, whom is local to me and does cluster and ECU rebuilds. He is a one man operation who meticulously replaces every chip, resistor, capacitor, and electronic component on the PCB's on a wide variety of classic and modern cars. His specialty is Lexus and Toyota, but he came highly recommended by Erik of U.P.garage since he does the rebuilds for them on GTR clusters.  For those that don't know, on R32 and R33 GTR gearboxes, the speedometer sensor is mounted in the transfer case and is purely an analog mini "generator" (opposite of an alternator essentially). Based on the speed the sensor spins it generates an AC sine wave voltage up to 5V, and sends that via two wires up to the cluster which then interprets it via the speedometer dial. The signal does NOT go to the ECU first, the wiring goes to the cluster first then the ECU after (or so I'm told).  Problems/Roadblocks I first removed the part from the car on the underside of the transfer case (drain your transfer case fluid/ATF first, guess who found out that the hard way?), and noted the transfer case fluid was EXTREMELY black, most likely never changed on my car. When attempting to turn the gears it felt extremely gritty, as if something was binding the shaft from rotating properly. I got absolutely no voltage reading out of the sensor no matter how fast I turned the shaft. After having to reflow the solder on my AFM sensors based on another SAU guide here, I attempted to disassemble the silicone seal on the back of the sensor to see what happened inside the sensor; turns out, it basically disintegrated itself. Wonderful. Not only had the electrical components destroyed themselves, the magnetic portion on what I thought was on the shaft also chipped and was broken. Solution So solution: find a spare part right? Wrong. Nissan has long discontinued the proper sensor part number 32702-21U19, and it is no longer obtainable either through Nissan NSA or Nissan Japan. I was SOL without proper speed or mileage readings unless I figured out a way to replace this sensor. After tons of Googling and searching on SAU, I found that there IS however a sensor that looks almost exactly like the R33/260RS one: a sensor meant for the R33/R34 GTT and GTS-T with the 5 speed manual. The part number was 25010-21U00, and the body, plug, and shaft all looked exactly the same. The gear was different at the end, but knowing the sensor's gear is held on with a circlip, I figured I could just order the part and swap the gears. Cue me ordering a new part from JustJap down in Kirrawee, NSW, then waiting almost 3 weeks for shipping and customs clearing. The part finally arrives and what did I find? The freaking shaft lengths don't match. $&%* I discussed with Erik how to proceed, and figuring that I basically destroyed the sensor trying to get the shaft out of the damaged sensor from my car. we deemed it too dangerous to try and attempt to swap shafts to the correct length. I had to find a local CNC machinist to help me cut and notch down the shaft. After tons of frantic calling on a Friday afternoon, I managed to get hold of someone and he said he'd be able to do it over half a week. I sent him photos and had him take measurements to match not only the correct length and notch fitment, but also a groove to machine out to hold the retentive circlip. And the end result? *chef's kiss* Perfect. Since I didn't have pliers with me when I picked up the items, I tested the old gear and circlip on. Perfect fit. After that it was simply swapping out the plug bracket to the new sensor, mount it on the transfer case, refill with ATF/Nissan Matic Fluid D, then test out function. Thankfully with the rebuilt cluster and the new sensor, both the speedometer and odometer and now working properly!   And there you have it. About 5-6 weeks of headaches wrapped up in a 15 minute photo essay. As I was told it is rare for sensors of this generation to die so dramatically, but you never know what could go wrong with a 25+ year old car. I HOPE that no one else has to go through this problem like I did, so with my take on a solution I hope it helps others who may encounter this issue in the future. For the TL;DR: 1) Sensor breaks. 2) Find a replacement GTT/GTS-T sensor. 3) Find a CNC machinist to have you cut it down to proper specs. 4) Reinstall then pray to the JDM gods.   Hope this guide/story helps anyone else encountering this problem!
