Don't you love giving complete strangers a serve :)

Had some woman lose her cool with me yesterday, the only thing I learned from this experience is...you can't argue with stupidity!

I was next to her on a roundabout...so she thought she'd *try* to race through ahead of me...but unfortunately she was driving one of those centrifugally-challenged Daewoo things...and ended up cutting me off as she swung wide.

OK thought to myself she can't drive so I overtook her and proceeded on my merry way with her beeping at me

Later at B'plains she drove next to me at the lights and proceeded to look at me muttering, so I asked her to wnd the window down and explain her concern.

She said "You maniac, you're the sort of person that kills others on the road...I've got kids in the car!!!"

I said "Yes, if people like you can't drive and end up getting hit by another car"

I then informed her of the *crazy* roundabout rule of left in, left out, right in right out....not right in, left out!

The response of "I don't give a **** about stupid rules like that, you should have just let me go" really did prove what a moron she was...especially if she drives like that with kids in the car...plus the special words they would have heard mummy come out with at the lights :D

It was at this point I gave her a good old fashioned, no holds barred, tag team, fists of fury response hahahaha

But it's true...there is nothing like having a go at a complete stranger...you've got no feelings to worry about. I was more dissapointed that she had 3 kids which had the potential to grow up like her.

Yeah I'd have to say 90% of my "incidents" are people who do not have a clue about roundabouts...it's really not that hard to keep to your lane..and indicate your intentions.

I nearly had my car writen off at the weekend on a roundabout...I came into it, the guy wanting to drive onto it from the left looked at me stopped..then at the last minute pulled out.

If it had been even slightly damp on the road I would have gone straight through his car...I was stopped less than 10cm from him...all he could do was shrug at me, dickhead!

My GF was going mental at him, she couldn't believe that he had stopped, then thought yeah I'll see if this Skyline has good ABS

Japtaxi - Mate, she was a fat 'Browns Plainsesque' dero looking chick. (No offence to any chicks that live in B'plains and are actually hot & not dero)

some people should be sterilised from having kids - she's just born 3 other idiots into the world :(

Ive come across so many people that love to try out race you thru a roundabout - phucking idiots.

No offence but 75% of Australians DO NOT know how to use round-a-bouts!

And because I am a yellow bellied skirt who likes to wear womens clothing, I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad I own a relativlt fast car, as when poeple start yelling at me I just get out of there, did I mention I am a WUSS?!?!? :P

Hahahaha I can totally relate Dan... I've been in a few "roadside incidents" in my time... I've got a short fuse for f**kwits on the road... I'm sure a few other members can attest to that  Anyone remember the drunk guy near the pub in Brissy that time?

I got a small dint in the side of the sedan from one incident... He got a court date... :P

I also busted my hand big time letting some lebanese guys know what I thought about them shining a 1000000 candle power torch in my eyes at 110 km/h...

Near Browns plains aye... This would posibly be the round about on wembly Rd? Where you can get on to the logan motor way? And it has big arrows on the road, one is left and straight, the other arrow is right only. Please seem to think a big white arrow, on a big black road mean they can go straight... Whats better is when they cant indicate correctly either, and flick it on for right, to go straight...

If its not the same round about, my bad  Its just the most simple thing in the world, even the indicating bit is easy.

Deadset, one day, when I get a tank, these people are gona cop it sweet!

I've been hit twice by idiots cutting through double lane roundabouts. My insurance company raped them both when I produced a signed diagram from the offender

Used to be Brissy was a great place to drive..........

Sounds like the stains hasnt changed much these days :)

*cough* You made your children miss the fireworks. I can understand why you were bad that day, after putting up with ignorant ****wits at the ekka and THEN having to deal with people on the roads, I don't blame you,.

One of the days I was driving brutis to work, this stupid chick in a lanos pulled out of a side street in front of me, when I had NOTHING behind me. NOTHING AT ALL. I know it's easy to make brutis wheels lock up and skid... so I had a little giggle and then locked the tyres up about 1 metre behind her. I had enough time to stop, I just wanted to scare her. In doing that. she was giving me the finger and going off at me in the rear vision mirror! WTF? You ****ing goose! YOU pulled out of a side street onto the main road in front of ME and it's somehow MY problem? :) I just shock my head and laughed at her. I think that pissed her off even more. She even had some kids in her car and looked like she was taking them to school.

*sigh* the memories of brutis. He copped a hiding.

Like that time that STUPID guy in an excel got out of his car at a set of lights and tried to bash andrew through the window to impress the woodridge car****s he had in his car. With lots of brake checking, side swipping, fast speeds and understeer around corners, me freaking out and ringing my brother in law (we were on our way to his house) we finally lost him and he didn't make a corner and went up onto the gutter. Brutis skidded past him (very tuff like) and we got away eventually cause a set of lights went red.

Men and their ego's eh?

I've never been soo scared driving in my life!

Adrian...you broke your hand! Good effort, I've got a short fuse too...but not managed to destroy anything as a result...yet :)

Sorry guys it was the roundabout that's over the back of Johnson Rd....is it Stapylford Rd??? near that distribution place..it's also an onramp for the Logan mty though.

People see a skyline and the first thing they think is HOON so no matter if you're in the right or not, they're going to have something to say. If she was so concerned about her kids than she would have backed off and driven like a normal human being.

Road rage can be fun t play up against though

Hehehe gotta love these threads, always interesting to hear a story or two.

I had one the other day, turning off the pacific hwy, 2 lane offramp, some guy comes flying past me in the left lane and turn offs too, pulls in front of me squeezing between me and another car. We go through a set of lights and both turn right at the next set which has 2 turning lanes again. I wanted to be in the right hand and he was still in front of me, i move to the right and bang he rips his wheel and jumps in the right lane even after giving a complete impression he was going to stay in the left lane. We then get a green light and he guns it off at the lights, needless to say i was coming home from work and am always in a hurry lol, gave it a nudge sitting about a car length behind him for about 70 metres, he finally jumps in the left lane and i cruise by. Cruise, i wasnt speeding, he rips his arm out the window swinging away carrying on, damn it was funny, telling me im a dickhead etc etc. Still to this day its got me stuffed what infact he was carrying on about.

Maybe that when he cuts in front of people, they should know to stay away from him...err lol :D Thats what ya get with meathead tattoo infested swap donkeys on the gold coast :)

    • Back again. I returned to Japan in Jul/Aug to spend time with the car on my birthday and remind myself what all the sacrifice and compromise is for. It happened to line up with the monthly morning meet in Okutama, which I have been wanting to go to for a long time. It's a unique event at a unique spot with really rare, interesting, and quirky cars. It's where all the oldheads and OGs gather. The nighttime scene at DKF certainly has its place and should be experienced if you're into cars, but there's too much bad attention and negativity around it now. IMO the better time is Sunday morning at DKF or Okutama; it's more chill and relaxed. I'm glad I was finally able to go, but not sure it's worth the drive from all the way from Nagoya immediately the day before, unless I was already staying in Tokyo for the days right before the meet, because you have to wake up quite early to make it in time. Funnily enough though I didn't drive the car all that much this trip because it was just too damn hot. While there were zero issues and running temps were nominal and the A/C was strong, RBs already run crazy hot as it is. Sure, it took it all like a champ but something about driving these cars in the ridiculous heat/humidity bothers me and makes me feel like I'm asking too much of it. I'm just me being weird and treating the car like a living thing with feelings; I'm mechanically sympathetic to a fault. Instead I was mainly driving something else around - a KX4(silver) 2001 X-Trail GT, that I acquired in May. There's a few different flavors to choose from with Xs, but visually it's the Nissan version of the Honda CR-V. Mechanically it's a whole different story as this, being the top-trim GT, has an SR20VET mated to a four-speed auto and full-time AWD! It was a very affordable buy in exceptional condition inside and out, with very low mileage...only 48k kms. Most likely it was owned by an older person who kept it garaged and well-maintained, so I'm really happy with how it all worked out. It literally needs zero attention at the moment, albeit except for some minor visual touch-ups. I wanted something quirky, interesting, and practical and for sure it handily delivers on all three of those aspects. I was immediately able to utilize the cargo and passenger capacity to its full extent. It's a lot of fun to drive and is quite punchy through 1st and 2nd. It's very unassuming -in the twisty bits it's a lot more composed than one would think at a glance- and it'll be even better once I get better tires on it(yes, it's an SUV but still a little boat-y for my liking). So...now I have two golden-era Nissans in silver. One sports car and one that does everything else; the perfect two-car solution I think👍 The rest of the trip...I was able to turn my stressed brain off and enjoy it, although I didn't quite get to do as much as I thought. I did some interesting things, met some interesting people, and happened into some interesting situations however, that's all for another post though only if people really want to know. Project-wise, I went back to Mine's again to discuss more plans and am hoping to wrap that up real soon; keep watching this space if that interests you. Additionally, while working in the tormenting sweatbox that is the warehouse, I was able to organize most of the myriad of parts that my friend is storing for me along with the cars, and the 34 has a nice little spot carved out for it: And since it can get so stupid hot in there, that made it all the more easy -after I was standing there looking at the car and said 'f**k it'- to finally remove all the damn gauges that have mostly been an eyesore all this time. Huzzah. The heat basically makes the adhesive backing on the gauge mounts more pliable to work with, so it was far less stressful getting this done. I didn't fully clean it up or chase the wiring though; that will happen once I have the car in closer possession. Another major reason to remove all that stuff is to give people less reasons to get in my car and steal s**t while it's being exported/imported when/if the time comes, which leads us to my next point... ...and that is even though it's time in Japan is technically almost up since it's a November car and the X would be coming in March, I'm still not entirely sure where my life and career is headed; I don't really know what the future looks like and where I'm going to end up. I feel there's a great deal of uncertainty with me and as a result of that, it feels like I'm at a crossroads moreso now than any point in my life thus far and there are some choices I need to make. Yes, I've had some years to consider things and prepare myself, however too much has happened in that time to maintain confidence and everything feels so up in the air; tenuous one might say. Simply put, there's just too much nonsense going on right now from multiple vectors. Admittedly, I'm struggling to stay in the game and keep my eyes on the prize. So much so in fact, that very recently I came the closest I ever have before to calling it quits outright; selling everything and moving on and not looking back. The astute among you will pick up on key subtext within this paragraph. In the meantime I've still managed to slowly acquire some final bits for the car, but it feels nice knowing there's not much left to get and I'm almost across that finish line; I have almost everything I'll ever want for my interpretation and expression on what it is I think an R34 should be. 'til later.
    • Thanks for that, hadn’t used my brain enough to think about that.
    • Also playing with fire if they start to flow more air down low than what the stock twins can. It's not even up top you need to worry, it can be at 3000rpm and part throttle and it's getting way more flow than it should.
    • Any G40/1000 or G40/1250 results out there?
    • You still want a proper tune on the stock ECU though. Stock tune + stock ECU with GT-SS/-9s is probably playing with fire if you're running more than stock airflow/power.
