There are also heaps of hotels/motor inns along the pacfic highway between chatswood and st leonards the furtherst of which would only be 5 mins from the steak-a-thon. Artarmon motor inn is one that springs to mind. Should be around $60 for the night too.

Richard

w00t teh ceffy just got dropped off at the auto elec for a R134A regas. Will be ready by 3pm says he. Then I'll probably cruise up to UAS to drop some stuff off to John (the CB radios).

So I'll be there with bells n whistles on for Carlo's lapdance.

Also are we having any pre-dinner meet n cruise thingys? I'll be family sedan sleeper dori-dori-ing from Dundas.

BTW I didn't bring any footwear other than a pair of open toe sandals (being my holiday n all). I'm guessing since its a steak house they won't really care... if not I might have to borrow some of my old man's daggy old man shoes.

I would not worry about the shoes dude.. We could probably rock up in speedos and apart from being all a little weird and uncomfortable have no issues in getting a decent feed.

I picked up my g-string and hot wax.. so im ready for tonight.

Funnily enough I'm suddenly not sure I'm coming tonight...

I wont steal your thunder richard, you can still show everyone your new trick. I too am curious how you do it

orright, but I warning you all. Bring a pack of baby wipes to clean up with...

:uh-huh:

oh and I'll bring some R32/R33/R34 catalogues which made their way up with me from Melb so you guys can check em out if you want.

But you already booked yourself in for the back sack and crack with Carlos Beautician service Richard - cant very well pull out now, that would be very uncooth.

Carlos Beutician Service hey... why do I keep picturing a devious, hairy man with a huge strip of sandpaper and some tweezers?

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
