Fantastic!

hey dino. I have the esky in the car so bring your car or some tie downs (to strap it to your ducatti)..

You're an ideas man Carlo :)

Shan, this particular place will not let you in with open toed footwear. They say it's a health/liability issue. You will have to wear your Dad's daggy shoes :uh-huh:

*chuckle* bet he falls for it... :sly:

I picked the robe and wizard hat up from the dry cleaners today too..

naa.. no sandpaper.. we use sandblasting now

... and the difference is amazing. Whilst the sandpaper can cause "some" bleeding, the blasting leaves my sack feeling silky smooth and with only "slight" disfigurement..

Funky: The catalogues sounds great, would love to take a peak :)

Thanks again to those who showed up for yet another successful dinner outing of steak, beer, steak, beer and some coffee.

Was great to see the usual familiar faces with Funkymonkey and Boosted Zed making guest appearances.

Cheers

Back already.... That steak was so good! This place was miles better than last month.

Thanks to everyone who came as it was a top night again and the GTR got to meet some of its fellow aussie skylines for the first time.

I snapped a few photos but due to lack of any where to rest the camera this is the only one that turned out.

Yeah, good dinner. The steak house have really lifted their game since last time I was there. Chris's GTR was soo nice, and Nick's looked pretty damn good with the new wheels too.

So who won the Nissan vs Ford event?

Good to see a new face too, Zebbie.

Look forward to next time lads.

Richard

I didnt know anyone was racing until kris came past me, I was playing with my stereo and look up to see 4 hotplates scream past. hehehe

Thanks to everyone else who was in attendance.. Good work!

I think next month we need to get pizza somewhere!!! Whos up for Nicks Pizza in lindfield

Last night while you clowns were racing down "Mt Akina" i was keeping up at the back, and this dude pulled up next to me when we got to Chatswood, and goes "damn Skylines, our Holdens are just as fast hey?" n I pissed myself laffin.

Then wierdly enuff I went past both carlo and nick while goin to my friend's house in chatswood.

oh btw anyone know any good carwashes around here?

In the 'woo I guess the only place to go is Crystal (on Victoria Ave) they are not great, but not terrible, and you get a free coffee... woo and hoo.

Sent you PM mate. hmm I always thought 300 message storage would be enough.. Can I have some more???

Richard

Well, was good to meet people & put faces to flippant forums comments :-)

Hopefully see you all at the next one (I'll find another convenient excuse, i'm sure)

(The hotel down the road is stonking, as long as you don't have to pay full rates!! :-D )

/me is currently newest SAU NSW member

Edit : And I want my sticker(s) NOW dammit :-)

I did start it sorry :D I'm just used to driving that road every day and overtaking the bus drivers at that exact spot. Force of habit - I usually drive very sensibly at meets/cruises hehe.

Mal your car has got a lot of grunt and i would love to line up against it at a proper venue one day soon. Never underestimate the ford turbo beast.

The Crystal car wash on Victoria Ave is ok - my line was washed/polished there on Thursday and they got it pretty clean pretty quick. Nothing special but yeah.

Im so up for the next meet though.

I really want to go to WSID and have a go down the 1/4, the only problem is launching the thing.

Need to get some advice from the GTS boys with manual RWD who run the 1/4 on launching.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
