Hi bazr33, I have yet to find an aftermarket turbo that bolts up, I have had to fabricate/buy stuff every time. That's why I use lots of the GCG ball bearing hi flow R33 GTST/R34 GTT turbos, now they bolt straight on, no mods or stuff to make or buy. I strongly suggest you do a search, there is plenty of info:cheers:

HKS 25** series do bolt straight on with a T3 flange.  Although you will be up for new oil and water lines which im scrambling up at the moment

Do those turbos bolt back up to the stock dump pipe as well?Or is it only the oil and water lines that dont line up.

its pointless statement really .. i have a high flow dump pipe, and its exactly teh same bolt pattern as the standard dump pipe, so high flow dump, or standard it makes no difference .. it;ll bolt straight on ....

no meaning to flame here, but just pointing out they are the same ..

personally i'm going down the router of a GCG high flow. ... as soon as I have time to get over there and pick one up that is ...

Isnt that a bit of a waste though? if you have a HKS GT25 turbo and still use the standard dump pipe? how much power do you lose?

What about the inlet piping and compressor outlet piping? how do they bolt up?

Yes will be a waste, certainly that will be your restricting point.

Inlet piping is the same, outlet piping is slightly different, you have to get a 90 degree turn, I got the HKS one, its alot better flowing than the stocker.

I would be going the HKS 2540. If you get the kit it comes with everything needed to bolt including the coolant lines. My mates r33 gts-t has run a 12.3 with one of these turbo's on a dead stock motor.

Nice time, it all depends on the driver, someone on here has done a 12.5 with a 2530, your mate has done a 12.3 with a 2540 which is awesome, but then i know someone has done a 13.4 with a 2535. And then ive done a 12.9 with a stocker.

Well it shows the true potential of each, certainly the 2535 has more left in it.

About the 90deg return piping, is there a way to stick with the stock one? or do we need to fabricate a new one?

Oh and does anyone know what kind of restriction in terms of power the stock dump pipe is?

You could possibly just buy a 90 degree hose instead.

Off topic, question for the people with 12.3, 12.5 and 12.9[stock]...

Do any of you beat gtir's? I'm not talking about a rolling run, I mean at traffic lights(provided its safe)?

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
