Are they trying to convert the copper lines to that new flexi pvc type?

In Canberra that is..

Builders and developers like to make money so they go cheaper.

Plumbers use what they like, Rehau or Pex etc pipe is very quick and easy to put in a new house.

Oxy costs a lot to use compared to squeezing on compression fittings.

And copper pipe costs more every year.

And dont worry that stuff is really good quality to pass Aus plumbing standards.

We have the top standard along with about 6 other countries. water is precious to us.

Im not worried about quality. I know they are great. Just wondering if all states trying to change it. I'm an electrician by trade but not domestic. My domestic mates lately have had earthing issues with the non copper lines though.

Wondering if other states having the same issues.

Yes you gotta put an earth in the ground now, ive seen them hammer in those copper coated rods.

Using the pipes for an earth is just a shortcut anyway isnt it?

I dunno sht about electics, cant even spell it.

Far out! That was full on.

So elecrical, it was zapping everything over here, there were even weird small lightning ive never seen before.

Was driving past the overpass from Aranda-Bruce when it got hit by 3 massive bolts, flash burn in my eyes for a minute.

However the rain did a job for me and pushed all the loose gravel down the driveway into the garage foundation box, so now i dont have to.

Hope everyone cars are intact, lots of trees down today.

Weird stuff happened to some of my electrical equipment.

For example my boost controller registered 150 kpa as the peak pressure, on a stock rb25 turbo? i dont think so... it still runs fine.

We had a couple lightning strikes right out front on the house.

^ True story ^

Heooge sound and light at the SAME time. Shook my house big time.

I hope some photo's show up of this storm on the net.

So much lightening !!!

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
