Nismo GT4's, still made by Rays (under commission from Nismo however) :drool:

About the HKS Zero R's;

There were 10 HKS Zero R's made in 1994, only 2 were bought however..The remaining 8 we're parked behind the HKS factory for the last 10 years, gathering moss and rust..sad story :)

They were utter beasts too! RB26 stroked to 2.8ltr's, running a large single turbo with all of HKS's top of the line parts (ECU, EBC, HKS gauges, list goes on..) and were producing 400ps stock (around 300kw@fly) but could support 700ps (520kw@fly)..Racing-style fuel tank sitting behind the front seats (ie. no rear passengers) with the fuel filler welded into place behind the driver's side door..Will get more when I find that issue of HPI (and my only issue at that..)

cut it out you.

why would you put a r34 nose on a r33?  had me fooled.....

those zero r32 were in a old hpi.  i think.  what the story with them? im curious.  anyone know?

yea it was hpi or zoom i forget. it was at the back of some high performance garage and left there for years. what a waste

    • I also used Knox driveshafts when I the slip yoke T56 to the 3bolted TR6060 type. I believe I was one of his first jobs as it literally changed hands when I was there, started by the old owner and finished by the new. Everyone seemed pretty great about it. So wasn't shy/seemed pretty knowledgeable when dealing with weird custom people like me.
    • Just a reminder orange park was cool back in the day   and drifting the main circuit was even cooler   f**k I miss that car
    • We used Knox Drive shafts years ago when we were doing gravel rally, good guy but I heard it had changed hands? He's got a lot of stuff and is miles cheaper than GJ and so on. He used to have a lathe setup with a MIG torch on the tool holder so he could get the uni welds just right, quite a clever guy. I just got a driveshaft done for my sequential installation and that was through Balancing Services Australia in Preston, they did the Gibson cars in the old days. New genuine CV's, billet yoke, new centre bearing and chome moly shaft was $2k.
    • Thanks for sharing that mate, I've got a couple of spares on the shelf but all the unis are tight....will give old mate a shout. BTW are you sure it wasn't just a $400 paint job? Any detail of what they replaced (cut/reweld?)
    • Yeah I saw that about the US Q50 recently, apparently it was shown to Inifiniti dealers (probably to help with their depression about the cars they can sell). Seemed like a really obvious step to me, the platforms are very similar in many ways. Even if there aren't many people who actually put the money up it should really help with image/reputation. What hasn't been clear anywhere if that is a V38 model of if they are just going to add the trans as an option in a new model year. What they did with the Z from 370z to "Z" is just weird so I'd be surprised if they released this as a V38. Great news for me to have an option; it is far from confirmed that I can get any decent track sessions through the auto so having a manual I can swap to is great.
