you can't buy one you nutter...

they were built in 1994, 2 were sold, the others are left outside.

they won't run, the body is dead....

they were sold or trying to sell for like double the prie of a standard gtr at the time.

the ones left outside, the engine would have rusted like hell...

they wouldn't even be good for parts as they've been left in the japan weather for 10 years with only a car cover on them.

Ok, I managed to scan the HPi article about the Zero R's

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...hpiarticle1.jpg

here you go

About importing them, the chances of finding one is VERY small..not to mention all the things that need to be done to make it roadworthy. The fuel tank is in-cabin, there is an aftermarket ECU (could be counted as OEM since the car's "manufactured" by HKS? is this the case?) etc

I like how at the end of the HPi article they say "hopefully they'll make a comeback at the 2004 Tokyo Auto Salon"... well there was one at the 2004 Nismo Festival!

hey rezz what is +81 area code in real numbers and will any one speek english there any way not being a pesimist just very intrested. There seems to be mixed emotions about this issue what would stop any one straping on a make shift fuel tank and plug in a stock ecu to get it complied. Good point about all the mods being done in house though. I will chase it up at work free phone calls he he and let every one know

+81 is the International country code for Japan...

I wouldn't just ring up and say "G'day, is this HKS? Yeah, oi'd loike to make an offah on ya Zee-row Aah youz got parked out back moite yeah"... they'd just think "wtf" and hang up on you.

First of all you should say:

"Moshi moshi?" (sounds like "More-shi more-shi" but say it quickly with no pause)

Then:

"Eigo ga dekimasuka?" (ey-goh gah de-ki-mahss-ka - it means "Can you speaka de English??!!)

This is no joke. Please say this first before clearly announcing you're intentions in clear Queens English... none of this Aussie crap ok? It's bigass International business transaction time!

what a waste I cant believe that they would such a great engineering feat just sitting there in the back or the shop gathering moss and rust like that  they are brand new cars essentially its amazing that this can happen in australia the manufacturer probably would have bent over dropped his pants and said to the first interested party go for your life ill take what youre offering just to clear them and cut their losses. Japanese car museums should snap them up and put them on display for all to see

sad day i just found out that hks definatley wont export thier cars the rep said that he would rather see the sale go to red park than an import nut he also said that the sale will have to go to a japanese national as the other three have so if there was any intrest in raceing them they could race them as a class. It sounded like a big feed of arse to me i would be very intrested if we have any japanese members in japan to see how much one will go for

    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
