What a GREAT weekend, one of the best on record! The only down side was the unfortunate damage to Troy's car. The Victorian circuit Gods are cutting him no slack :(, or maybe his car is just home sick and refusing to co-operate. Was really disappointed to hear of you mishap, hope all will work out nest time.

On the other hand, my car (and myself) performed beyond my own expectations, for a offical track newbie. Personally i think these fun days are possibly more dangerous than the offical CAMS events. Don't get me wrong, i really had the time of my life, but you get some dlcks in the beaten up pieces of shlt, trying to prove a feeble point and going beyong the capabilites of their cars. Or you get some a55holes who have specially set track cars, treating it as the Bathurst, and cuting you off, pushing your car to the outside, etc. At times i just had too much to loose so i just slowed down and let them pass.

Most the time everything was cool, my tyres kept a great grib to the track, but i still managed to do more than a few 4 wheel power slides :). The suspension preformed remarkably, but will be speaking to Centreline to see if i could dial out some of the understeer, not sure if i can because at times i was getting oversteer.

Meet a few more new faces today, sorry if i didn't socialise much :(, just too hectic trying to fit all things in. Hope to catch up again soon.

BIG thank-you to Bec and Chris for organising the cruise up and some "modern" accommodation. Thanks to all Wang members :D, who made the night b4 an unforgetable one and to Adz for cooking up a mean barbie :)

PS: Photos from both days would be great, so don't be shy and post 'em up :D.

And dont mean to be a tight a55, but in light of what happened today, i may have to hit you guys up for some coin for the booz i bought, all up it was $110-120...it looks to have been an expensive weekend:) i hoped that the booz covered my share of the BBQ?

The old Motor Inn went off on Saturday, ill post up some pics later...im amazed those old ladies didnt abuse me when i kept walking into their room instead of ours:alcoholic:

:flamed: :flamed: :flamed: :flamed: :flamed: :flamed: :flamed: :flamed: :flamed:

Geeez if you ever want to give me your car Adz.. niiiiiiiice.

Troy I think you & your car are just getting too old for the track :) Seems like it's not meant to be :) (joking)

So whats the tally on the damage? Need -another- engine??! :D

We were thinking of cruising up this morning... but since we didn't get home til 12 last night, there was no way we were going to be on the Hume at 7odd :D

Troy wheres the 'action' shots?

edit: Nevermind, there they are!

Troy: Michael says "now a dodgy seal on your caliper is the least of your worries" :)

Lucky that Michaels car is sorted now, so he has his weekends free..

He also said something about 'a whole new meaning to the phrase - drive it like you stole it'.. :)

Anyway glad the car didn't blow up/interior catch fire etc & you're alright.

oh no Troy what happened?!!?

story please...

Bloody terrorists:) I think i ran over a land mine:(

The bonnet lining either dropped down and touched the turbo, or it got so hot that it caught fire. So another freakish fark up has kicked me in the boss cags:)

But if you want to know what really happened...well at a certain speed there is so much friction / heat from the air that things can get red hot, sometimes even ignite...ever seen a space shuttle on re-entry, well same thing with my R32 down the straights:)

Yeeeaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! Suck piss and torch cars:thumbsup:

And the most important thing about a Team Wang weekend...

    • I don't know for sure, but I'd expect them all to be interchangeable given the diff end and hub end don't move/change between any C34 series. Often Nissan will change part numbers and the aftermarket follows those year ranges; but the original part number change doesn't mean other parts won't fit. The change could be a change in material, internal parts or even just supplier. For example, all the RB gearbox to engine bolts are no longer available and there is a new part number instead. The only change is they went from cadmium plated bolts to zinc plated due to the issues manufacturing with Cadmium. They look different but work the same.
    • One year is a bit concerning. Did you try contacting GSP? It says 5 year warranty on the box if I remember correctly. I'm also running their driveshafts on my S2 Stagea.   You could check the part numbers on Amayama for your year. Here's the link for my 1998 which gives the 39100-23U60 part number. Well, that and 39100-23U70. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/trans/391 What does it say for yours?
    • I ordered a GSP Front R/H Axle from here - https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-front-driveshaft-r-h-nissan-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-stagea-4wd#description It lasted around a year before one of the boots blew out. I'm lowered, but I have GKTech roll center adjusters. One year seems a little premature. I think I'm going to spend the extra money on an OEM cv axle this time. This website - https://tfaspeed.com/collections/nissan-stagea-wgnc34-x-four-parts/products/nissan-stagea-awc34-260rs-rb26-right-front-axle-drive-assembly Makes it sound like the readily available OEM CV axle will only fit 11.1999 Stagea and up (mine is a 2.1997 S1). The JustJap listing didn't mention any years or anything for the GSP axle. Amayama shows '11.1999' and up as well for that part number. As well as 'plastic boot type'. See attached picture. So I guess my question is, does that axle (39100-23U60) really only fit S2 Stagea? It's the front driver side. If it does, I'd love to buy that instead of rolling the dice on another GSP. I've found that OEM one cheaper here: https://www.partsfornissans.com/oem-parts/nismo-jdm-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-r32-gts4-right-front-axle-3910023u60 and here https://www.nissanparts.cc/oem-parts/nismo-shaft-ft-drive-3910023u60 Just a little confused because the JapSpeed listing for the GSP front driver axle doesn't mention any specific years or anything and it fit my S1 Stagea fine. So will 39100-23U60 fit my S1 Stagea even though technically it says '11.1999' and up? What would have changed? Thanks.
    • Thanks for the info. The only "Issue" I've had with the shifter is I always found the throw between 4th and 6th gear too close. I'm always worried to shift into 4th accidently and sending my motor to the moon. Adam LZ recently came out with a video and stated Serialnine revised their shifters to correct this and will change all the revised parts for 150$. Strangely enough, I contacted Serialnine right after and they denied it and said it's bullshit. I found that strange as he's a distributer. I'll keep this forum post updated on that saga.
    • Yep that is correct. It allows you to adjust the short throw range from what I can tell
