...The only thing worth mentioning is that its a good idea to work out where the pit entry is as a few of you guys got caught out and missed it and proceeded very s l o w l y  around the track :)

LOL...busted. But funny thing is, i knew where the pit exit was, and was headed down there. But a silver WRX was in front of me and he went past the exit...which got me thinking "oh, he's off to that place mentioned during the driver briefing to cool brakes...possibly at end of the main straight, as in the drags exit" How wrong i was :D

A general comment though, shouldnt really gloss over flags etc in driver briefing, and should not assume that ppl have been to the track before. If it had been spelt out in the driver briefing, it would most likely not have happened, plus a few first SAU guys had no idea about flags

I agree with that Roy and ill mention it to motorsport and the club president .

rs73: i think ylwgtr2 is best to answer that, but i'd say a rebuild of the gearbox is in order, or a new one :D

I think everyone was too worried to put thier hand up to have the flags explained.... as annoying as it may be to the more regular track goers, i think flags and more detail of exits etc.. should be gone over everytime... I've been to a few track days and even i forget what the flags mean :)

Was good fun, and well run, no time was wasted once we were on the track... pass on my thanks :)

There is nothing like the hospitality of a Maltese household:)

its not TRUE maltese hospitality until they make you pay for any meal or beverage that you may have consumed during the visit :) (jk AL :))

I look forwards to seeing the video.

Scott - maybe would your old man like to come to the next club meeting with his stuff from both this event and Calder??

I'm really keen to see what pics he has - especially from the night session. Even though that pic of Chris's is out of focus the night pics are so cool!

Its Frank right? Low white R33s look tuff:thumbsup:

mmm... a bit of body roll:confused: Might have to tighten upi those swaybars?!?!?!?

Good work on the photos, i suppose the drivers owe the trusty camera crew a few ales:)

Whose that guy whose hair is so fair he looks bald:(

Good pics Adz!

There are some more to be found here - mostly of rexies but give a good impression of what it was like after dark.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
