Ms PSI of course

It's the new WRX plates, they get what ever number is the next available one.

We saw MRT04 this arvo. Thought that was a pretty cool plate.

People still don't realise what mine say, so I just give up.

Most of the time plates make the car

mine cost me 2 grand from ppq (prestige) but there is no anual fees and the guality is much better than standard plates being fully enclosed and very professional looking you have to see them to understand the difference.

without my plates its just another face in the crowd

check my pics yous will agree

to much money to know what to do with, so they spend it on plates with no imagination

Not to poke at you but i saw mine in a dream

Drift was taken so i got the only other possible i think it was a worth while investment

Most of the time plates make the car

err.. ok

without my plates its just another face in the crowd

For $2k there is a hell of a lot of other things that can make your car stand out "from the crowd".. or even better blend in.. like a big 400hp turbo..

To me pp are just something for the cops to remember your car distinctly for.. they decide they don't like you.. easy pickings from then on - as they know exactly what your car has under the bonnet.

anyhow, each to their own!

p.s. in vic full pp are about $300 "for life" too.. not just the "lets get a few numbers that might look like letters" thingo either. Up here they are a rip.. most expensive in the entire country..

by that i meant wangs that have things like their initials or the type of car on there...

i saw v8.brad what a tool im sure he could sell it to another brad :kick:

Im doing my policing degree and becoming a cop so i dont care if they know my plates ill be one of them.

Well I've had a good response from YYY 11. The funny thing was when I purchased them I never thought of the meaning. But I still think personalised plates are not cool. There was a fad during the late nineties but now it is not very 'personalised'.

I think you'll find NA_R33 was being funny. He is the one that actually owns TUF-033.

Must be a different fella, because I just had a look at NA_R33's car, and thats not the same car. The guy I'm talking about has black plates not white if I remember correctly, and it definatley wasnt a GTR.

    • No need to replace the cover if it is still intact (not worn through). It would be worth checking the balancer for matching marks on the rear, but I'd assume the balancer was loose at some stage. The cam timing marks look fine, once you put the new belt on you can only be right or a full tooth out
    • Disconnecting rods! must have been an unpleasant surprise...
    • So been ocd with timing mark but checked from few angle and seems both cam are on and crank is matching as well to the slot on sump and crank pully i noticed crankshaft cover has been robbed as per attached pic. Any ideas why? Could my balancer or harmonic be on its way out? should I replace the cover? https://ibb.co/ZR1JFYRR
    • So now doing the change and first time dealing with rb so little nervous giving engine power and potential for screwing it up When you align all marks and then remove crank bolt, timing move little I assume you can put the bolt back in once you have removed the pully to get timing to where you want? here is pic of my both intake and exchust cam aligned, depending on angle you look they seem to be either aligned or a half tooth or so out. Any thoughts? Should you angle your face and look at each mark that way as if looking straight rather than from above as it can be misleading https://ibb.co/ZpnhcvbF https://ibb.co/4wm2wn4q
    • Thanks for the reply @GTSBoy Haven't really thought of that yet, but you are right. If the hose was damaged it should be absolutely pissing by now. I'll put some heat sleeve around it for good measure since I'm already removing the line anyway. Maybe I'll put on some of the stock hardlines if I ever fully remove the turbos again. Maybe when T51R modding the compressor housings? Might be a fun mod on GT28s for that "fake single turbo" effect.
