edit: thanks to Erin for looking after the little'n while dad had a much needed smoke :)

OMG he's soo cute!

He's got gorgeous blue eyes and the chubbiest cheeks. Car keys are an amazing thing for babies, jingle them and they are entertained for hours!

He's a hoon in the making if ever I saw one, hears a burnout, looks around with his big blue eyes, turns back to us and has a huge grin on his face! Soo cute!

... No I'm not getting clucky.

yeah after Jay made it quite clear if I broke it, I would have purchased a broken GTR, I was just not really game to push it much, looked like a turdburger launching it at 4.5to5k rpm, meh got a 13.9, my best run ever in any car.

Best I ran in the //CS beast was 14.1, ironically my first run, ran constant 14.3 to 14.5's, even teh master Jay could only muster a measly 14.8.

Meh Good night! :)

Tehe, yeah we think he's pretty cute too :( Not that we would be biased or anything :)

Andrew...you had better sleep in the spare room for a few days

Was a good night, I couldn't afford to run but still enjoyed being there. Plenty of Skylines with big flameage is good, and there were also a few RB Salivas out there too.

The best run of the night was the drag bike though, with a 7.7@165mph :)

wtf posses someone to jump on a 7 sec motor bike! tho that things launch was amazing... 3 gear changes before the front wheel got back on the ground!

will upload pics tonite... tho most are underexposed :)

On the plus side I didn't loose a race...

Just for SAU QLD people:

Who got the fastest ET of the evening?

Who got the best MPH of the evening?

Who got the best 60ft of the evening?

Who got the best reaction time of the evening?

How harsh was that VB Commy that died on the start line? Second last run of the whole night and it had to be towed home. We know this because Cyrus and I passed it on the Ipswich Motorway at about Riverview being towed with about 3 metres of snatch strap, and 5 people in the Commodore... :uhh:

Pfft, wheelie bars are for wimps :P 7 sec would be a blast!! Just holding onto the bars would be near-on impossible.

The bone stock CBR1000RR than ran 10.55@135mph was impressive, lifted the wheel a good foot off the ground at the top of first and part of second, fairly impressive considering when you're at the drags you try to keep it pretty much on the ground. Changing into third at 180-odd km/h then feeling the front wheel come down is... exciting ;)

VL's are ghey out of the tolls.

RVR's wanting to STOP in the middle of the motorway to test how fast his car is are idiots.

o..... k......

Damn!!! My first drag event! Was a bit nervous on the first run (so nervous I left the air-con on!!) Cyrrus was certain I would beat him, but there was little chance with a 2.5 reaction time and an et of 15.046!!

Second run was little better with the car spinning until the 330ft mark!! (18.660!!) Got a lot better after some advice from a workmate who just happens to do security at the track. No burnout and take off at the last orange! 14.7 et.

Best of my night was a 14.6 et. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be doing it again.

I smell like tyre smoke from my hair :D

Was SAU33 Nat?

NismoGirl,

Yes, Sau33 = Nat from Cairns, Best time of the night was a dismal 13.4, 2.4, 60 footer @118mph.

Yeh i recently put a short sifter in and im not use to it :( wouldn't go into second gear no matter what i tried... :D

Good night though, i'm still keen to meet the rest of use,

Thanks to cyrus for showing me the way to willobank :P

    • Pressure when IDLING, is meant to be 51PSi... So that amperage value needs to go up a fair chunk... I'd personally be factoring for more like 12amp at least on those runs, and at that point you need to hope the already there wiring doesn't drop you a volt or two, as that's a lot of fuel pressure flow drop off from 13.5 to 12V! Taking idle pressure of 51psi, means the pump will be drawing a MINIMUM of 9amps all the time based on your reading of the graph (3bar base, then allowing an extra 0.5bar for boost = roughly 51psi)
    • Hi all,  I am in the market for an R200 longnose diff out of a Z31 300ZX, or S12 RSX, DR30 skyline, or similar, in a 3.9 ratio.  Preferably a late model one with the M12 crownwheel bolts.  The only easy to find advert for one of these was my ad back in 2007 when I sold it on this forum.  I sold the diff as I had sold the car it goes to, but as it turns out, after 18 years I got the car back late last year, so now I'm looking for the diff !  If anyone knows where to find a longnose R200 LSD with the M12 crownwheel bolts, drop me a line at [email protected] - Bonus paid if soomeone comes up with the original diff (stranger things have happened !).  Cheers   Ben D
    • Hi everyone, I used to post here a bit from 2004-2013, when I owned various Nissans, in particular my S12 RSX gazelle, which was sold in 2007.  As luck would have it, after an 18 year hiatus, the car found its way back to me last year, and over the past 11 months I have had the pleasure of restoring it with my kids.  One thing that I am after in particular is a 3.9 ratio R200 LSD for it.  I actually sold the one out of the car here back in 2007 , and it would be incredible if I could track down who I sold it to, so I can see how they have progressed over the years (and to be honest, to see whether I can get the diff back !).  Anyways, hi all and let me know "where are the R200 Longnose diffs all at these days ?  Cheers Ben D
    • Arms will be the same as the G35 or 350Z, but as above, there was a change in the lower control arm where it connects to the ball joint.  That said, you can remove the ball joint cone from your old ball joints and fit them to the new ball joints.  To be honest, I didn't think the ball joints themselves were different. The main ball joint is a bit awkward to replace, you really need to remove the steering knuckle to press out the old one.  Some people have used tools to remove it in place, but it just seemed too hard to get to. If you are going to press out/in that ball joint, then you may as well just replace the bushings in the LCA and the compression rod.  You can buy the compression rod bushing from Nissan, but the LCA bushes, you will need to go aftermarket. Much cheaper than buying the whole arm.
    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
