Try the Purple Pig, corner of Stud Road, Mountain Hwy. Next door to The Tyre Factory.

hehe... I knew someone would mention them.... already been there but they had fcuk all stock, and didnt really seem to give a sh!t about assisting me either. Useless fux0rs.

Purple Pig also has an outlet at:

180-184 McIntyre Road, North Sunshine

...and if you go to their site you can download .pdf catalogues with prices.

AVO sells the stuff, (be prepared to get reamed)

You can also buy it at Autobarn, if it's not in stock they can order it in...

they have the pretty blue stuff, and the orange bandage covered sort.

(yay for my technical terminology)

Buy it at truck supply shops, its double woven and heaps better then all the stuff that performance shops sell and heaps cheaper. Big prime movers use it for a lot of engine bay stuff. It really annoys me how much certain shops charge for the exact same product you can get down the road for half what they are asking.

Try irrigation shops for stainless/alloy piping aswell, tends to be quite cheap. They also have bent sections.

Get some 3 inch hose and 2.5 inch hose. Cut the 2.2 inch so you have about 1 inch length on the pipe, then put the 3 inch over the top. Clamp both ends (get decent clamps, about $6 from Autobarn/HIS Hose Somerton and ensure the pipe has ridges or weld spots for retention) and there is a perfect, yet cheap reducer. Only good for about 1/2 inch reduction. BTW HIS Hose have a good supply of straight in many sizes, right up to 5 inch I think. Autobarn Epping have some pretty blue/purple stuff and some reducers.

i may do what u have said skyline geoff. I have been thinking about this option. but the problem is that my piping is 2 and 3/4 inch approx, about 70 mm. It is apexi piping and has beaded ends. So I would have to do it with 2.75 inch hoses, which is also hard to find and the wall thickness would have to be less than about 3 mm coz then it will be over 3 inch and the 3 inch hose will b hard to get over it. Do u think i could get away with just using a 3 inch straight? since the difference around the circumference is only 3 mm, but i dont think i can, too much area for boost leak. I will try autobarn epping, i tried an autobarn near my area and only 3 inch to 2.5 inch, maybe they are different.

treo i will try pirtek bayswater. I tried pirtek springvale but they did not have it, maybe bayswater is also different.

I tried AVO 68 dollars each on order for a wait for 3 weeks, shift performance was $91 delivered. Chasers did not have them in stock. I think i may have to ebay this.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
