so wtf are a spec and b spec points for..... what do they do exactly, anything???

coz i have like.... 6,250 a spec and 4,941 b spec points

A-spec points dont do shit... however there was a rumor that the drivers helmet changes colour (convertibles) after so many points. It's more of a braggin right thing, as well as a good gauge as to how difficult a race will be (maximum of 200points per race).

B-spec bob however turns into a better driver, the more b-spec points you have.

As for all the other points like battle etc.... no idea ;)

ah k, i have more b spec points atm, coz i got lazy and cant be f**ked playin games while the weather is good so i jst leave it on b spec all the time

whats the best car to use for the Nurb 24hr race?

and how long does it take exactly, from go to woah with 3x speed?

I used the toyota minolta CV-88 (or sumifin like that), finished comfortably.

3x speed will get you done in well obviously 8 hours, but you have to man the controls for that cause the 3x speed turns off after every time the car pits... so your probably best to leave it for the 24 hours and go for a cruise or whatever.... :D

use the " nissan fairlady z lm concept "( won in the all japan gt championship from memory), thats all i used and it did it ezy, overlapped the car coming second 6 times, by 3x speed u mean "medium pace" yeah??? i left mine on 4 ( increased pace ), and my b speccer driver killed them all :D

and once u win the nurburing 24 hour u'll get the f1 car, use that to own the bitch ass super cars in the gt world championship, i at first used my toyota gt one car ( 1011hp to a 700kg car.... oh yeah ), it won it origonally but jst, now i have the F1 i cheat and use that, it kills them all lol :D

welll lets face it, the r33's are rubbish... hehehe :D

dude sif 33's are rubbish u know that they can kill 32, and 34 actually any high class cars can eat any cars it all depends on the mods u know?

now to refer on this thread, well the cars do understeer in the game and its supposed to be based in real life. Lets say the MR2 is supposed to oversteer however it understeers. In my own opinion the creators of this game made the Stability Control separated(oversteer, and understeer) unlike in GT3 where its all in one spot. So therefore jst simply put the oversteer on 5 or below and take the understeer off. This setting should help you drift. And also jst fix your suspension settings to hold ur drift. And trust me this does work =) even though one of the stability control is on thats jst the way it is. Take the traction control off as well.

cheers, yeah I have got that Fairlady....but I have also got the RX8 LM Concept and myself got a faster lap around the Nurb with that :D

But I didn't think either of those cars would be able to take the 24hr rac, anyway, I will give it a shot

cheers

Tom

hmm, I don't have any supercars...I can't even do the last 10 race event in the Professional League yet :(, I don't have a fast enough car

where do you get the Minolta?, it better not be a the end of the Professional League :D

to get the minolta you will need to do the El capitan enduro, it's only a "short" race and in that you can use most road going cars such as a zonda or RUF to decimate the competition.

they do trust me, like i said, thats how i won it :)

the cars that run are cars pretty much in the same category, usually jgtc type cars, the race sounds like cars like the supercars would run in but they dont, dunno why but meh, its a pretty ezy win ( thank god for b spec ;) )

i have both of them, but whenever i race those races ( ones you cant use race cars in ), i always use... my mercedes clk or my R34 GT-R midnight purple III special edition, its tuned so it owns even some of the road going super cars ;)

OK i raced the 24hr Nurb competition with the fairlady and was over 1 minute ahead after 2 laps....

I am thinking of taking a weekend and racing it myself....to join the very limited membered club

you gonna do it in one sitting or take a few days to do it?

i'm not willing to give it a go cause i'm afraid i might get sick of the Ring

nah, over a few sittings, just leaving the PS2 on  hope it handles

I will never get sick of the ring muhuhahaha....its all I do in the game now (stuck at about 35% with hard races to come)

its all I do in the game now (stuck at about 35%...

lol, same dude. at about 30 something % but all i do is race the ring and get b-spec bob to earn me some cash occasionally so i can buy more cars... :)

b spec bob is the work of the devil and god at the same time.

devil.... coz now i find i cant be f**ked racing half the time, he does it for me

god..... coz of the fact i dont have to do it and i still get money and stuff to buy more cool cars.

:)

Managed to corrupt my game last night.. goto start from the beginning.. hadn't played for a while and was just getting stuck into it again.. got pissed off and turned it off half way through a save..

DAMNIT!!..

ouch thats gotta hurt.

btw im at about... 70% now, thats far enough for me... well actually 75% is far enough coz i wanna see what car they give you for gettin that far , then after that meh to it.

does anyone know where you can win the escudo from>??? i want that bitch of a car but you cant buy it, which means it has to be won somwhere

    • Cheers. Skyline is back on the menu, can’t get rid of it. It’s like a child you don’t want, or herpes
    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
