Hi guys,

I know it's not a Skyline, but I know a fair few of you are fans of Chasers, so I thought I'd post up some pics of mine. It's still in Japan atm, but it should be here soon (hopefully).

It's a 99 model, series 2 JZX100 Tourer V.

The engine puts out 206kW @ 6200rpm and 378Nm @ 2400rpm

Series 2 taillights here - they look way better than the S1s imo.

Photoshopped to have a clear blinker (I'll be ordering these pretty much straight away)

I've got more pics (interior etc), but I won't post them unless people want them.

Cheers,

Michael

Yeah I quite like it too :(

I'd love some deep dish wheels for it, but after buying that I don't think I'll have too much cash left.

I won't be touching the ride height though - my last car had a 400R kit and that was so impractical. This is my "I've turned 25 and need something practical, but don't want to give up the turbo" car :)

It's not that bad a job is it? That's my photoshopped one. Read just above the pic.

I was just trying to see how it would look without the hideous orange blinkers. I think the clear ones are on the Avante models, so I'll have to get a set of those somehow.

MIC33R, Oh my bad...

Question...is it a TRD version? From the badge upfront. Interior looks normal and the TRD version rear wing is?

None the less, nice buy. I was going to buy a Chaser but ended up pouring too much money in mods. Well also I found out Chaser could be imported so I didn't specially have to buy one to send home.

I also used to only like the series 2 lights but after a while the series 1 lights grow on you...they are both good IMO.

Nah it's just a plain version. I'm really not a fan of the TRD wing or front bar to be honest. I'd say the owner just bought a TRD grille (which is different to the TRD model's grille anyway). I actually prefer the meshed stock one anyway, so I'll be looking to swap with someone here unless they put the original one in the boot.

I still like the series 1 lights, but I prefer the S2 ones by far.

What sort of car do you think you'll bring back when you do come home?

Nice man.  I have to say I was seriously considering one of these but ended importing my R instead.   Very nice, might still end up with one of these in the future.....

A GTR was my other option, but I took the 4 door way. Maybe I'll regret it when I get the car, but I think I made the right decision.

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
