But having trouble finding people who will give me finance for import cars? What do people use here? riceline
Personal Lown (not a car lown) under Commonwealth. Got it 3 years ago when I was 18. Have had the lown extended since and no problems Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68990-question-about-finiance-on-import/#findComment-1277965 Share on other sites

dan_the_man
Most car finance companies require the car to be no more than 5 years old. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68990-question-about-finiance-on-import/#findComment-1278097 Share on other sites
slow13dude
When I tried to get a car loan the maximum term was apparently 10 years minus the age of the car. Endorean
When I tried to get a car loan from a bank, the minute I mentioned Skyline they recoiled 'oh, grey import, cant loan against that'. Unsecured personal loan is most likely your best bet. nsm034
yep suncorp dicked me around , went to commonwealth got unsecured personal loan they had no worries. Ps don't try suncorp for insurance they class every skyline the same eg. non turbo, gt-r, gt-t so you pay gt-r insurance on your gt-t. idiots Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/68990-question-about-finiance-on-import/#findComment-1279476 Share on other sites
