LOL, i dont have a cop, but i got this lady living across the road from me who thinks she is a cop and owns the court. If i wash my car, i get a letter a few days later saying 'it has come to our attention ...' , and just the other day 'we have recieved a complaint that you have too many cars in your driveway' etc.

Man, some people just like making enemies for no reason.

that's an awesome attitute to have towards the police!

thanks, chris, for making life so much easier for us other (normal) import owners on the streets...

I know how it is man, certain wankers thinking they own the whole street. Now i rev the engine like *** past him just to piss him off.

Man dont be ***kin torking about normal. I was driving normally. Just incase u r ***kin blind, to the police no import driver is normal

not the sharpest knife in the cabinet are ya chris :)

by abusing him you know he'll be on your case now... don't go shitting in your own backyard as the old saying goes...

Just take it easy what you say to him, If you piss him off too much, he could get you for driving a R33 GTS-T on P-plates? Don't get me wrong, he does sound like a bigmouth, as you were only doing the speed limit.

My old man always used to say in re: to driving up your street "Dont shit in your own nest, mate."

Always put on the fake smile for the neighbours and be firm, polite, and slow down before you get to your street. If there are kids or dogs or people walking make an effort to drive super slowly and in cruise mode. They already think your some young hoon because your car is loud, so see how much fun it is to prove them wrong and that your really actually a nice guy. Maybe even give them some acknowledgement. Everyone will love the guy with that japanese import!

I try to be very respectful to everyone and realise that i've already lost a few points because i have a spooling turbo and a loud exhaust note, but its fun to change attitudes.

I always drive really slowly down the first few streets in the morning while the engine is getting a chance to warm up, and I am always driving slowly in the last few streets before I get back to let the turbos spool down and for the engine to cool down.

Maybe apologise to the cop for being rude next time and tell him that you hate being discriminated against because you have a sports car. And even though you where not breaking the speed limit or the law, you realise that with it being a small street you will try and be safer in future.

I guarantee the guy will never give you any more problems. :)

But if your into war and some people cant live without conflict, maybe egg his house..?

"this is mah house, this is mah muthaf**kin kitchin... and if u dun like it... then u can get the fuggout"

I know your 7, i know your 7 eddy, you'll be a 7 year old walking the dog no house mathafakor. :)

Chris what did you gain by having a go at him? even if he is being a dick to you, you still gained nothing... chill out - politly explain to him that you know there are some dickheads driving skylines but you're certainly not one of them, and you always make an effort to drive super slow down your street.

none of my neighbours have been in my street longer than i have and they all think they own the place.

but none of em have to balls to come and say anything to me and my mates we all hang out the front and most of us are loud as

we've had cops come around before and they basically tell us as long as we arent doing anything illegal its all good and not to worry about em

neighbours just love to make thier own life hard sometimes

The copper is also probably looking out for everyone in the street, just not himself and his family. Maybe just thinks your car sounds fast but you really aren't going over the speed limit. Imagine if you hit a kid or something because of you were doing the wrong thing.

Chris, the chances are if your street is that short he is confusing the engine revs possibly with speed. You should go and explain to him about that and Pentae - good advice, spot on.

I have tried to get this accross to my g/f's bro about turning music down when he comes into the street. It takes very little time and sometimes just one incident for a perception to be created mate.

Maybe go appologise and say you were having a bad day. You may even teach him a thing or too about Skylines and open his eyes to the enthusiasts.

and when you do tell him you were offeneded that he jumped to the generalisation that all import owners are hoons. he wouldnt be happy if u came knockin on his door and accused him of being a crooked coppa, takin bribes, slappin hoes, catchin drivers instead of real criminals and suckin braxi's donga would he.

Trust me i was tempted to say all that lol.

Trust me i was tempted to say all that lol.

i think you did the right thing, u didnt do anything right, so say so!

fark if your getting hasseled for doing nothing in your own street next thing you know he'll be coming in your house complaining you didnt make your bed properly and defect you for creased sheets

    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
