OK for those of you who don't know I am a Takakaira junky..I have placed nearly 10 orders with these guys and have never had a problem.

So here is the [b:901408301d]G O[/b:901408301d]

I will be putting in an order in the first 2 weeks of May so if you want anything check out www.takakaira.co.jp and let me know at

[email protected] so we can get a discount by ordering in bulk.

To give you an idea, I ordered some stuff on Friday 12th April and will get it on Wed 24th April, this is usually the case so long as they have the gear in stock. If you know of something that is made but not on the site let me know as I hava a few goods masters (HKS, TRUST, APEXi) that I can get part numbers from for instance the HKS oil filler cap is not on the site but I know the part number so I can put in a special order.

PRICING: Use the pricing on the site as a guide, I will divide up the freight based on the individual weight of the parts per person and give you and idea closer to when we order. This is a great opportunity to save heaps on gear. i just saved $270 on my S-AFC.....

I'm a Takakaira junky too it's a huge site you can spend hours there

........how about a sequential shifter?? I just installed a C's shortshifter and its really great,..........and all those wheels.........drooooool! :(

JiMB0

Sequential shifter:

Lifts the original pivot point by around 15mm then extends the lower section of the shifter by the same amount thus reducing the throw length needed to move between gears.

Shipping:

Shipping is based on weight or size depending how big it is i.e. if you bring over a front bar for your car then it would be size but for a shift kit only weight. $130 freight should allow you around 5kg. No import tax as the amount declared on the box is within the limits of importation.

Shifter:

My friend got a C's in with front cut and when ever I can I steel it and use it, they are sweet, I have taken all the measurements and will be making my own soon. lol

Just a word of warning about Short -Shifters. If you install one and use as it's intended ie very quick shifts,,,,you won't have your syncro's for long.

Neil

Guy's I did say "Use it as it's intended" meaning flat changes and Super fast changes. 4rd gear syncro ring will be first to go(I'm pretty sure 4th & 5th use normal syncro's like a GTR) and 3rds braking ring will suffer next.....Just a word of warning thats all. Remember our boxes are better than WRX's but they are not bullit proof.

Jimbo double shuffles will be okay cause you are letting the brake ring do it's job.

Neil.

looking for tips from anyone who has received goods of considerable value from takakaira before.

what exactly do takakaira write on the customs declaration?

the complete contents of the parcel? partial contents? obvisouly they undervalue the contents to avoid duty and gst..

any advice appreciated, shipping some stuff from japan personally this evening so would like to know some of their tricks to avoid duty

    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
