that suck man, def keep an eye out once my defects are cleaned up..

maybe someone was eyeing it out for a while?

My R34 was broken into in an attempt to steal it, at Strathfield. It was parked in the carpark right next to the old Korean coffee shop "Taro" across from the Bus Stop. 10 people witnessed it and only when 1 of them said "Im calling the police" did the guys go away. That same night my friend had his porshe broken into in a secured car park at Strathfield.

The cops said that Strathfield had quite a few break ins. BTW this was a year ago. All up from people i know personally, I know of 2 200sx, 1 Mr2 which have been stolen from Strathfield/Burwood area and 3 break in's for stereos etc. I dont go there any more except in the daytime. Kinda hard when all your Korean mates want to meet up there.

Update, I just went thourgh talk to the some ppl around strathfield, one of the guy report to building manager about the car park garage door didnt work on Sat morning. They reported as saying the door is not automaticly open or close, but they can use their hands to open it. So that means they didn't have the access card to go in, they theif break into the car park and steal the car. This is crazy..... Hope i can get my car back.

Hi, Cwest, can u tell me when was that happen that ur R34 been broken? Is that the same night as my car has been stolen? Let me know and i can report to the police. The police is realli pxss me off, they just dont listen to me at all. Always keep on saying that "we dont have enough ppl to have a look A car" and sort of shxt like that. Dammm......

just heard... they were sold for around $1100. If anyone was watching the item or something please give me the html address for it.

Doubt it, only one I could find even remotely similar was this one but it hasn't sold and the seller has a very good rating:- http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...ssPageName=WD2V

And they look brand new...

I couldn't find anything under completed listings.

I have printed out your pics and numbers so will look around for you as I live in that area.

Good luck.

ITs not my one, my one is 17inch and very old. But thx anyway.

And also thanks for LIZ to call me. Thank you for everybodys supported.

there is no where u can park safe, depends by theif. If they foucs your car, doesn't matter where u park, it still will disappear. I was live at east area when i had my R33 about a year. I parked my car always on road. nobody steal it or try to do something. But I have heard at the same area, a civic was stolen by just park at road for one night, and the car is gone. So u never know.....

Hi Ouch,

Like my original post says this was a year ago.

When my car got broken into last year it was the police that called me and told me about it. They were nice about it and met me in front of my car. They told me what had happened and said if they found anything else they would call me.

I know you are frustrated but really there isnt much they can do. Its not like they can ramdomly drive the streets and look for your car. I guess it is for situations like this that people have insurance. Good luck I hope you find your car.

As for Hotspots, ive had my car broken into at Macquarie, Strathfield and keyed in the city and Hurstville. You have to accept that cars like ours are a popular target. There isnt really much you can do guys but to try to park it in a secure place. Now I pretty much park at friends places or I drive my shitter around.

Cheers

    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
    • Well the articals keep saying a Q50s (Skyline in Japan) with a new Manual gearbox. I like the talk about the new looks with the round tail lights. I hope they bring back the retro look like they did with the Z
