Hi guys I have for sale a brand new in the box Earls 16 row oil cooler. I had origionally bought it for my GTI-R but that car was sold before I fitted it. My GTR already has an oil cooler so I don't need this anymore. when I did my research I looked around and it seems that earls have probably the best reputation for making oil coolers and fitting etc. it certainly is a nice bit of core :) some of the big advantages of these cores over the cheaper copies is they are very light, very strong, and deliver very low pressure drop all with proved cooling ability.

it's (approximate) dimensions are:

16 rows tall (about 155mm overall), 2 inch (50mm) thick, 12inch (302mm) wide

the current price on this cooler is whaopping $451AUD, you can have mine for measly $300.

I don't have any pics handy atm but it's brand new still in it's box, in it's bubble wrap with it's caps on. so have a look at the cores here:

do yo uknow how much the fitting are worth / where you get them?  PM me :)

Hi DAN00H,

The fittings you can use are entirely up to you. Ealrs sell all the stuff you could want, or places like enzed/pirtek can make up the lines and supply the fittings you need. Be warned Earls fittings start at about $20 a piece and go up from there. but all these types are a standard fitting size/type so you can use whatever type you want.

Crazymax,

thank you for your most lovely offer, but sorry I'm pretty firm on $300. Had an offer of $250 which was close, but no cigar  feel free to ring earls and confirm that the price of this cooler (16 row, 12 inch wide, with -12AN fittings) is $451 (inc. GST).

Sorry mate - Ive just bought one direct from Earls - they have the cooler that you have at a special price of $350.63 and the sandwich plate is $53.63 12inch (305mm) x 6inch (155mm) x 2 inch(50mm)

Yours is still a good price though - so to everyone else, make him a decent offer! even $300 is a good price

note though, that the larger core is $450 (12inch x 12 inch)

that is a good special. is that including GST? because they generally quote all their prices ex. gst (ie. the core I have is quoted at $410+GST=$451).

either way, this is still brand new so the $300 price stands :)

yep that was the price, stick to $300 though, as that is a good price. I have a trade card, so got mine cheaper

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
