I would also appreciate it if anyone can shed some light on krush's install above (the R32). I'm looking to do mine asap and want to make sure it's right.

Cheers to Mark by the way on the quick delivery - paid on Monday last week and received Thursday last week in Sydney.

I installed 1 of these on my R32 GTST a few weeks back, works fine- set it to run 11psi. Can't see anything wrong with Krush's install there though?? The only difference in my install was that I had the controller plumbed in a lot closer to the actuator. Shouldn't make a difference though. I did find with mine that it has to be pretty much open to run 11 pounds. Best way to adjust it I found was to start with it fully open then fine tune it gradually. Takes a little while tho.

It is worth looking at though... I received it within about 3 working days. No spiking, holds the boost well and generally spools a lot faster. I'll post up a pic of my install in a few days time.

Paul

i got one posted today!! so it should be here soon. jsut to help me out guys (i admit im lazy) whats 11psi in bar?

yeah I know there was one, no response ;)

11psi = approx 0.8 bar

Got mine installed. Seems to deliver the boost much smoother than my old turbosmart. Doesn;t feel as powerful though. Maybe my mechanic set it lower than I asked. By boost guage is f*ked apparently so might have to get a new one and see what its at.

yeah, well the theory was to hide it under the pod. "valve, constable? what valve?"

the tubing size is so small and the pressure relatively high, a few extra cm's of length won't make any diff (according to what i can remember from highschool physics) but might stop it getting noticed. i'm also planning all sorts of craziness under the bonnet so having the extra length there for now is a good thing. :P

Fitted mine in about 10 minutes too.

however on my car, boost doesn't seem to come in any earlier - previous owner hiflowed the turbo so I suppose it's still too large to have low-end power. :D I mean, I'm still increasing boost by redline in 3rd gear!

But it's good, at least I can control the max boost :D seems to spike a fair bit still though.

It's usually ok to run up to about 12psi @ the most.. i'd probably keep it at about 10psi depending on how old your turbo is and how likely you think it is going spit out the exhaust wheel..

Also depends on how you drive probably.. but 11psi should be fine

hey guys

i finally got mine... off ebay... took over a week and apparently the dudes gonna refund me, he even sent it express too.. took ages.

anyways before i got mine, i played with the old one and now sumthing is f**kd up... but the new one feels a lot better than the old one did! hopefully my turbo isnt dead, and i find out whats wrong.. then i can boost it up (and not break it!)

cheers

not so fancy... but works

did the installation with hijaked (dave) today

problem is his cars going through a rough time,

any i think we might of installed it wrong, we connected it to intercooler piping and wastegate etc etc , but is this correct ive sifted through the whole 26 pages and getting two answers one is that yes we did it right and the second is that people connect it to compressor housing, other than that alls well should be getting one soon for my mazda 626 turbo

soon just got to get the car first hopefully tuesday well cheers for any help guys

dave by the way we were twisting it wrong it goes in for more boost ; ) cheers

If anyone wants one for $35 delivered (which is what simark is selling them for) let me know. I'm going to be selling mine, it doesn't do anything for me because my wastegate is either ported or the actuator has been uprated :P I can't get anything less than 17psi in second gear - more in third :(

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
