Hey everyone

I'm considering buying one of those hybrid copy FMIC's at the moment, got a choice between the 450x300x76 or the 600x300x76. Now, the 600x300 one looks pretty big, a bit bigger maybe than a GTR intercooler. Can this make the install job harder? I mean, I wouldn't be utilizing the 600x300 one to its max potential as the most boost I'm ever going to run will be under 20psi. Would the install job be easier with the smaller 450x300 cooler and would I have to cut/modify the front bar or anything to get it to fit?

Thanks

You may have to modify the bar with either core due to their thickness.

Provided the inlet/outlet is at the base of the cooler there shouldn't be a problem fitting either of them, you will probably need to chop off the driving light brackets though as they will be in the way of the piping.

DO you have a standard front bar or aftermarket???

Have you decided on how you are going to route your piping as you ahve a couple of different options for the R32.

Hi

Front bar is standard. The car is an M-spec, but I don't think it has the M-spec kit with the skirts, pods, and different front bar. Its just the standard GTS-t front bar I believe.

Haven't decided which piping route I'm going to take. What would you suggest for my situation?

Nope no fog lights

post up a couple of pics of your engine bay and front bar with clearance (if you can) and we will have a look. Im in the middle of helping a mate do his R32 gts-t at the moment and there are a couple of different options you can take with piping, it all comes down to your budget really???

    • You still want a proper tune on the stock ECU though. Stock tune + stock ECU with GT-SS/-9s is probably playing with fire if you're running more than stock airflow/power.

    • There was a great one on Victoria Rd in Gladesville too back in the day. I can only assume GTSBoy is thinking of the mill up on the wollondilly, no restaurant there any more but they have restored the original steam engine on site and run it every few months, have an annual steampunk festival etc @The Bogan, you came to the wrong town for restaurants. we have a few reasonable asian and indian options but the Paragon is as good as it gets otherwise. That brewery is apparently just opened, been meaning to give it a go some time. The Highlands have plenty of fancy options but I suspect you are more a hearty eater than fancy eater
