I think my car is down on power compared to others I have heard about with simliar setups.

Current mods;

Nismo fuel pump

555cc Nismo Injectors

HKS GT2835 Pro S turbo (420ps)

Tomei 270 Degree cams

Full 3" exhaust.

Greddy Plenum

HKS front mount

HKS Fcon V pro ECU (Map sensor type)

So far the best power i have managed to produce is 320rwhp on 1.3 bar. To me it seems kind of average, cause i've heard of other people making 380-400 rwhp, on this turbo. The tune in my ecu was done in Japan and its fairly rich around low 11:1 afr but would this be making that much difference? How much HP should i be making? I'm changing over to a Power FC D-Jetro, just so i can get someone to tune it here in australia in hope to gain more, but what power levels should i expect, or am i expecting too much from this turbo?

I recently bought a GTR from Japan with an Impul tuned EPROM in it. The barstards glue the EPROM to the board so you cant read it - however this didn't stop me and I was able to pull the PROM and read the data. I really wasn't that impressed with there tune - very conservative all round, fuel was too rich in top end 11-10.5 and timing was very shy through power. Knock parameters where standard (not that it matters in the topend).

Could be a blocked cat as well or some kind of inlet restriciton. My advice would be to check the cat/restrictions and then either get the ECU re-tuned or PFC.

250rwkw sounds pretty good check the rb25det turbo upgrade dyno thread, i think theres at least one other 2535 turbo. your at about the max of the 2535 turbo as far as i can recall going from the ps rating. i dont see how the powerfc d-jetro will give you more power. it will be easier to tune with the normal powerfc and a z32

Hey ookami, i also have the 2835 and managed 333rwhp on 15 pounds (tiny bit over 1 bar) without PowerFC. Something has to be holding you back...

you made 333hp with a stock ecu? you sure? My car is junk then!! I've got a greddy plenum and bigger cams and everything too!! Is yours the 2835 pro s with the weird Exhaust flange?

How did you manage to get the epoxy resin of the eprom? I also tried to pull one of a board, but my fingers aren't as strong as your.

some people must have weird dyno readings or something. I don't understand how they make more power on less boost. I know i would gain some power with a decent tune, but some people are claiming on stock injectors. how does that work?

I'd ditch the ecu and get yourself a powerfc, or if you really want something that has alot of features (and so you can toss the afm) get a link, haltec, or autronic.

****, you'll get alot more power with a good tune, judging by the mods you've already done.

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
