Just remember, when warming up a car, you shouldn't be looking at the water temp. You should be looking at the oil pressure.

I set the 50c to 1 and forget about it. Those corrections are a pain in the bum. A lot of the drift guys here like to run 70c thermostats.

Yes well at the risk of splitting hairs I think the whole idea of cold enrichment is to make up for cold pistons chambers and valves absorbing initially a lot of combustion heat wchich pulls down the combustion temps and combustion pressure . More fuel means in theory more heat and when the internals heat up they don't rob as much heat from the combustion process .

I don't think the extra fuel is there to overcome cold oil drag unless the oil is a high viscosity dino oil and the outside temp is very cold .

For the record I just changed to Rotella 4T which is a 5w40 and I get no starting issues with EFlex E70 and the Datalogig showing around 10 deg water temp .

I just highly doubt coolant temps in the mid 70s indicate that an engine would need extra fuel .

Yes and I was wondering about those who chose to run cooler than std thermostats because in cold thempratures their engines may not even get to 80c .

marketing gimmick? oil needs to be at around 90 degrees to perform at its best, and like I mentioned before about the water/oil heat exchanger it's there for a reason to warm up the oil.

anybody running big cams on a 2.6 have their 'Accel vs TPS1' settings handy? Accelerate injector would be good too.

I'm getting a bad lean hesitation with a throttle stab near idle, and I can't seam to cure it with those settings. Only thing that works is to add fuel to the INJ table.

I think the heat exchanger is there to warm and cool but I suspect it has a say in cold start and warm up exhaust emissions and that what probably drove Nissan to provide it .

You'd think GTRs would have gotten oil radiators like Evos did but they got exchangers AFAIK too . Doubt the racers had exchangers .

hard to trade that table, unless someone has same cams, same injectors....

richen up the a/f on idle see if that helps.. I find cars that I've played around with running longer duration cams do not like stoich on idle

It actually idles nicely. Its the large throttle inputs right after idle that are a problem.

Black bn- if. Have an oversized theottle body it may be hard to get off idle throttle stabs correct,

Just have a play with the accell settings. Keep adding accell too see if it likes it

An RB26 would be very different with its individual throttles because the rise in manifold pressure would be fast and you need to toss a fair bit of fuel in to keep a reasonable AFR .

Its take a bit of getting head around but these computers have a unique idle setting state if you did the idle learning properly and you don't seem to get access to this even with Datalogit , not sure if you do with Apexis software .

I'm finding that you need to play around with the injection and timing tables just off idle where it changes to these map settings .

Its interesting to watch Datalogit in log mode so you know exactly where the engine is live .

I think its a juggle of how much innitial fuel comes from the accel settings and how much from the fuel table . ATM I have things a little richer in the 400 800 1200 areas while further up I leaned out the upper cells and pulled a bit of timing out to stop it popping on the overrun . I find the more you can get using the fuel table the better the consumption tends to be but don't forget to play around with timing settings as well .

I think there's limits to what can be done without a dyno and someone who knows what these engines like where timing wise .

Oops didnt read it was rb26.

thanks anyways, and yes i played with the accel settings quite a bit, but had no luck. ended up adding fuel to the base map. not a huge deal as this is a race car

    • I can ship Nismo floor mats to you: https://www.oemsoko.co.jp/products/nismo-floor-mats-for-skyline-r33-bcnr33-stagea-wgnc34?_pos=1&_sid=9278c1467&_ss=r
    • Here's the link: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6642/misc/G49?frame_no=WGNC34-137122 What you think about it? The same product i found on nengun: https://www.nengun.com/oem/parts/40567/MiPwn5qAMfCfmpxHNDnwn5q9MDAx8J-QiW9sZC1qcC0xMTAtRzQ5LS0wMDE/Floor+Carpet+%2F+Mat+2/0688339eba149c19 Bot i have spoken to 😅 ensured me, that mats are 100% original, oem product. I have my doubts. I also heard what you mentioned, that nengun often offers items that are actual not available... On the other hand mats i found on japanese yahoo or ebay are in poor condition and still quite expensive so i'd rather wait for some better offers. My location - Poland. We literaly don't have ANY market for used Stagea parts so need to search outside Europe.
    • You can’t see much on the other side as the lcd is there I don’t think it’s the same as the m33 beside it as the markings on top is not the same was hoping someone had a good quality photo or if they just happened to have the unit in hand, quickly take the cover off and take a photo to clearly show the marking on top to identify the diode   the unit is currently with an electronics repair shop so I can’t take another photo at the moment hopefully they are smart enough to know if it’s a zener diode or not
    • I'd be very surprised if you can buy new OEM mats. But if you can, I want some too!  Do you have links to the variations you found? Also, where are you located? I found that Nengun is happy to list items to purchase but when you do buy them you'll get an email that it's actually discontinued. As far as I know the variations in floor mats are different colour schemes as well as automatic and manual having a slightly different shape. The automatic ones fit into a manual car without issues, but I think you'd have trouble fitting the other way around. I have photos that show the shape difference if you care. FWIW I bought sets of used floor mats in decent condition at yahoo auctions.
    • Hi 🙋‍♂️. Just bought my Unicorn but the interior need some minor work so it would match my expectations ;). I noticed it is hard to get used oem floor mats in good condition so i started to dig if there's any chance to buy set of new ones. I found two websites - nengun and amayama and it looks like one can still buy factory new floor mats in Japan, but thers a small issue. Some mats (i assume genuine, oem ones) are marked as G4900 and these are "discontinued". The ones you can buy are marked as G4911 but i have no idea if these are also oem, made by other producer or some lower quality replacements that looks entirely different. Can anyone help? 😃  P.s. there is also some strange indication - 0V005, 0V015 and 0V505. Any idea what does it mean? Would appreciate any help with this 🙏
