Thanks for the post Chuckie. Are the yellow calipers the Stagea ones? Or the '32 ones? Interesting that they are sliders... so I guess they're the stagea ones?

Also do you have an RS4 or RWD?

Hi DAVE these are twin`s post-36964-1239529988_thumb.jpgpost-36964-1239530064_thumb.jpg,i will post some more as i get them fitted, cheer`s chuckie.

Hi All,ok fitted rear brakes today very easy to do only minor mod required, which was the backing plate just a Trim up so caliper would fit post-36964-1239547847_thumb.jpgpost-36964-1239547979_thumb.jpgpost-36964-1239548129_thumb.jpg,i did fit braided line`s aswell so will see if any difference has been made,post-36964-1239548351_thumb.jpg,i will take some more photo`s of what they look like on car ,cheer`s chuckie.

Ok, so i spent some time down at Autobahn (gillies plains, Adelaide) over the past couple of days and Mel down there was awsome and found pads for the S2 Stag in all brands.

So here is what she gave me: (i only got the bendix codes)

S2 Stagea, Fronts: DB1232GCT cost: $80

S2 Stagea, Rear: DB1399 cost: $90

For rotors you'll have to go genuine Nissan, which cost $190 p/rotor (IIRC)

Mel did quiet a bit of calling around making sure they were the right ones. guess i'll find out when they come in :D

Hi All just few more photo`s of finished job, cheer`s chuckie.post-36964-1239681013_thumb.jpgpost-36964-1239681469_thumb.jpgpost-36964-1239681111_thumb.jpg

Niiice chuckie... have those '32 calipers been rebuilt? They look brand new!

PS... something I've always wanted to know... when you changed your calipers, replaced your lines etc. how did you bleed your brakes (what with having ABS and all)?

Interesting... I heard there were some cheaper pads available now for S2 fronts, not sure if they were Bendix... v. interesting... Sucks about the rotors though. I would want slotted for that at least. I will try racebrakes and a few other places, but probably just gonna upgrade to R34 and get mono-blocks at the same time.

they just bleed through like normal, same as a car without ABS.

Really? I heard you had to pressure-bleed ABS systems, because of all the pumps/potential airspace in the ABS actuator or something? If not... cool

Rooted around with my brake lines a couple of years ago whilst researching non genuine braided lines, had no issues with ABS. The problem arises if you inadvertently allow brake fluid reservior to drain empty during the process. Air can then be introduced where it is not wanted. No doubt pressure bleeding would then be required. When opening the lines have a pipe plug(s) standing by to immediately cap openings, to minimise fluid loss, preclude air entry into system & maintain operating level in fluid reservior. No problem. I used some clear plastic tubing doubled over, same size as drain tube for bleeding excersize(spelling), & tied off (zip ty) to make el cheapo plug. Worked fine.

Cheers GW

Hello Curt, not quite sure what you meen as i used R32 rear set up & haven`t done any thing to front set up if that`s what your Talking about .if i do look at front mod`s i would either tap small bolt hole`s out to 14mm ,OR look at 34 which is straight swap.and with LINE`S you will need to get them MADE as there long line`s with some 3 mounting point`s ,so good luck, cheer`s chuckie.

chuckie; there isn't enough material to safely tap out the inserts on R33 front brakes to fit them to a S2 stagea, that why the locating bush method is the way to go for the fronts if using R33 ones. was there a difference in the rears bolt sizes? R32 to S2 stagea? i have a set of R32 rears here but haven't got around to trial fitting them yet.

so even the R33 or R32 gtr stanliess kits you can get would fir cause there too short...

OK, S2 Stagea, Fronts: DB1232GCT cost: $80 are clearly the wrong ones,

on the up side, if you are in adelaide, AutoBahn gillies plains is getting in a few sets of ausbrakes.

they are also a QFM seller now

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
