Ferni...and everyone else..are you driving up on the sat?  If so do we want to organize a convoy?

Sounds good, so far Ferni and I are going up together with about 4 other cars (spectators). We should organize a place and time to meet…

Ant (and anyone else)

A few of us plan on doing a special run up to Benalia the back ways on Saturday with a stop off at Buxton to try out Victoria's best burgers!

:D

Check it out.

Anyways - it means a run through the twisties - hell we may even go the super long way through Reefton yet - but we haven't decided.

Will be leaving the SouthEast / Ferntree Gully area around midday.

Sounds good snowie...although don't forget my little gtst trying to keep up 'round the twisties :D

Anyway it is a huge weekend for me with this track day and moving house on the monday so I'll have to confirm if I can make the midday convoy next week.....

Yeah i'm happy to do a cruise up on sun morning, will have to be early tho. 8am scruit. What time will we have to leave and wheres a good place to meet? Last time we met at ferntree gully maccas....

I'll be there.

Sunday morning, whereever it needs to be.

Let's say 5:30am LEAVE THE MEET

250 kilometers, is 2.5 hours.  5:30 + 2.5 hours is 8am

just in time for scruit

I will so be asleep at that time. LOL

Well there is no way I'm getting up THAT early on any Sun :D

Bec...don't worry if I do miss the midday cruise, I'll just have to play catch up :O

Where were you thinking for a meet place Snowie?

Blaise and I were cruising to Scotsmans house (F/G) and going from there.

There is a maccas on left hand side of dorset road in bayswater (you drive past it when going to racepace) as you drive north. I say thats a good meet point then we take the route pointed out by the yellow line on the map attached. I'm open to adjustments however.

Ferni - not only did you pick the quickest route - its also the funnest!!!

Geeee what a coincidence :O

If i had cruise control the hume may be the go, but luckly my car can turn corners without coming to a stop.

MSPEC: Yep, thats the one :D

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
