Hi guys

I have a problem with nengun, I bought a nismo fuel pressure reg on the 16 july after constantly emailing because my order wasnt progressing. Them they claim it has been sent on the 2 aug it is now the 8th and the ems number doesnt work(never has) and they arnt responding to my emails. I think iv been scammed by nengun. I thought i could trust nengun.

geezuz mate 2 of august was only 3 full working days ago???!!

relax, wait a week, then email again. you are getting all gee'd up over nothing. if you wanted parts really quickly then you should have walked into a performance shop that had it on the shelf. but you wanted cheap so unfortunately that sometimes take a couple of weeks. The EMS tracking number can sometimes take longer than the package to be updated.

It took them 15 days to process a order that seems a bit suspicious to me

What's the overall opinion about Nengun? They have some really nice gear there... but the whole overseas internet thing is still holding me back.

Please feel free to smack me up and put some sense into me...

jeez, calm down..

lol - i had the same problem.. kept trying the ems number (which I don't think ever worked). Took about 6 weeks to get my gear, but only because a couple of items were not available from the supplier. Wasn't really informed this until later though.

They are a little poor on getting back on the emails unless you hassle them, but patience, patience.. You can't expect to order something from overseas and get it right away. If you want that, buy locally. I've never bought anything from overseas that I've needed urgently, there are just too many factors at play (customs speed for one)

NO EMS number means it hasnt been sent out yet

I didn't even get the number, until the package arrived! It took 3 and a half weeks for a turbo timer, which I thought was too long, but I got it before my car anyway so it wasn't a big deal. Also heard a few people got hit with an extra fee for something pretty expensive (like turbos), from customs I think. Heard they are trying to crack down on getting cheap things sent like this instead of going into Australian performance shops. Seems strange, since their would come in the same way, just from someone else.

the ems number is not valid until the item leaves the country, so even if it has been posted the ems number will not always show up.

my pod filter took one month to arrive after i paid, just as an example of how long things can take, so in comparison, you are not doing too bad :D

Jesus, get over it will you? Im waiting on my Trust sump from Nengun and you dont see me starting a thread to bitch about it.

The fact is you opted to try and save dollars by purchasing from Nengun and unfortunately sometimes the parts you order are not in stock with Japanese manufacturers, or there is a delay. Brent is a very busy guy and hes most likely snowed under, give him a break.

The LAST person I would be labelling is a scam artist is someone like Brent who is well established and has been trading for years now with a long list of happy customers.

And for the record, yes EMS tracking sometimes doesnt get activated until the goods are already in your hands, thats nothing to do with Brent. He advised you of the tracking number when it was sent, so YOU could track it via ems.

I have spent over 8g's with nengun. Last package took 2 months from the date I ordered. everything takes time. As it says on the website, you ALWAYS recieve your parts. customs may have it, if so they will send out a notice.

It took 4 weeks for me to receive a fuel pressure reg from Nengun only a few months ago.

Remember that Nengun isn't just a small supplier anymore, Brent has HEAPS of people ordering off him and you aren't his only customer.

I've had varying experiences with delivery dates from Brent and would never recommend anyone else to get overseas parts from.

It's take from 5 days to 4 weeks for me to receive parts. It depends on his schedule/load/customs...

I don't think you have anything to worry about mate. I know it can be a bit of a worry when you send payments for parts overseas (especially with the amount of shonks out there these days), but there are many people on here (including myself) that can vouch for Nengun.

I've always received my orders off Nengun (sometimes very quickly and other times not so), but fact of the matter is, they've always arrived. I actually received notification today that my injectors have just been sent, so hopefully they'll turn up in the next few days. If you be patient, I'm sure your goods will arrive in good time as well :)

    • Just wanted to pop in an update on my setup. The CD swap has been great, I love the mazworks housing for the overall simplicity. I ended up sealing my trans tunnel with a thin sheet of aluminum reused some of the holes on the trans tunnel, and laid some window sealing EPS foam around the edges. Works great, really quieted things down and sealed up the car.  As for the power comment. Right now I am also running about 650whp. with the way the bell housing is attached to the face of the transmission I have zero doubts it would be fine, mainly because the input shaft and main shaft bearings are seated into the bell housing adapter. This means the load is NOT on the bolts to maintain the power, rather into he casing of the bell housing; Yes the bolts are doing some work there, but with both shafts locked in zero worries.  End of the day, the Mazworks solution is the easiest and safest. no need to take your trans to a shop to get milled perfectly, it fits with minimal clearancing, and you can use all your existing clutch and flywheel.  Driving wise the CD has been great compared to the big box, I'll probably swap my final drive at some point. The serial 9 shifter is gooooood, my only qualm is how tight it is, it takes a fair bit to get use to, 5th and 6th are a bit eh/hard to find at times, but maybe I need re-adjusting, and I think my clutch master is very tired and needs a rebuild.
    • If you are keen, have a look at my build thread. Car is for sale for the right money or straight swap for a F80 M3 LCI.
    • Welcome mate.  No point in over thinking it, buying any one of those cars you mentioned is not a smart or logical choice with the availability of many "better" (re price to performance) cars available to you.  The heart wants what the heart wants, buy whatever it leads you too.
    • Hey everyone! Im so grateful to be apart of this community and ill do my best to be apart of this. Firstly, i'm not disclosing my real name due to in real life circumstances surrounding my privacy and public image (sorry lol) Secondly, The only thing personal I am willing to share is that I'm from Sydney and a descendant of one of Sydneys largest mortgage firms. I got gifted my first ever car, a 2022 Porsche Cayenne and I love it to death. Ive been driving it for about 5 or 6 months now and honestly Im so grateful for my parents for gifting me this vehicle. However recently I've been working my ass off to afford my second car (which I need help deciding soooooo community help me out please?). Once decided, im planning to try modify it myself. Recent I've been thinking about getting a Skyline, particularly a 25GT or GT-V, yes I know overrated as hell, but I'm also considering a Chaser which I recently came to love. However my dream is to one day own a 180SX (So hard to find clean versions and im not really into importing).  Lastly before I send this off, I want to apologize if I sound tacky or pretentious. I try not to and want to genuinely learn from everyone and anyone. (Im no expert in this area) Thanks for reading!
