Did anyone just see the news segment about WA being shit drivers ?

Couldn't help but laugh when they show filmed footage of bad drivers, one of them happened to be a Silver R33 4door (normal WA plates) driving at warp speed and slamming on the brakes to slow down quickly before tailgating another car!

You d*ckheads the press love it!

Wasn't me!

I missed it damn! I wanted to watch that! Saw the comercials.

Drive anywhere else in the worlds and you will be able to say with much conviction - WA people ARE shit drivers

Though most of them are aged between 40 and 55 and drive company cars..

I was laughing the whole time hahahah

Yeh, i thought the guy in the four door was really FLYING!! The guy doing the segment was probably travelling below the speed limit anyway...

Stupid news hahahah

But yeh, drivers do suck here..

seriously, wat is their definition of news these days...a cat dying? far out, its all a bunch of bs.

used to be who believes the weather man, now its who believes news readers and their crap. 99% propaganda, 1% factual.

Yep agree with that .... Italy and Perth are the worst I've come across

Italy, like in Rome is bad...very bad..But on the motorways over there driving is fantastic, I drove all over Europe, no one hogs the 'Fast' lane it is for overtaking pure and simple...once your done move back over...seems so simple...yet the majority of Perth drivers find it so hard!

Agreed! I loved the motorways around Europe. You could cover a huge amount of of distance in a day.. record was from the top end of Slovenia to halfway down the Croatian coast inside of 6 hours.. :(

No way you could cover half that didstance quickly in this country..

C'mon guys...no matter where you are you will always come across bad drivers. I used to think a lot of drivers in Perth were pretty bad (I especially hate that hogging the fast lane) but I think Perth drivers have nothing on London drivers. I think I would be reluctant to drive around at all

From what I see, all road rules are thrown out the window (motorways probably a different story). Cars and bikes driving down the wrong side of the road (even with traffic coming the other way). No one ever seems to indicate, lane changes at last minute, turns at last minute (even if people are in the lane next to them that they have to cross). No wonder 80% of cars on the road have scratches and dents on almost every corner. There is also a heap of bump parking. Would hate to have my car here parked on the side of the road.

I cant wait to get home to Perth for some open road and at least some sanity on the road :(

Perth drivers are shit because they are either old or pissed off at the camera that just got them

also has something to do with the amount of cars to main road "arteries" that are around Perth....comon' we have the 4 major freeways into Perth and a couple of other roads with MILLIONS of traffic lights along the way and thats it

shit road design pays for shit driving

EDIT: especially when people are parked in the left lane in the city at peak hour in the morning, now that shits me!

    • The real question is, on some of those wild roads they call highways, how many times did a farmer in an old ute from the early 2000s blaze past you over double lines?   Tassie is a wild and really cool place, and after doing a work related road trip there January of 24, I understand why Targa Tasmania is ran there, and is so tough to do well at! We had a brand new Camry Hybrid that handled quite nicely, and thankfully weren't in an old car, because cresting some of those hills in a 100kmh zone for it to suddenly be like "surprise f**kers, this is a recommended 30kmh hard right turn" wouldn't be pretty. We weren't racing the Camry around, but we weren't slouching in the bends either. But my lord those old farmers know their old clapped out utes, and those roads, as they were absolutely hammering it!   You're also super lucky to make it up to Mt Wellingtong this time of year. It's often road closed with snow/ice! Also, I hope you hit up Salamander Road in Hobart for some insanely good food (I highly recommend the dimly lit Irish pub for a Guiness Pie, or even the bangers and mash!!!)   How long did the Ferry take to get across? I want to do a road trip of Tas on my own time, but I get horrifically sea sick, and I don't want me on the Ferry, just the car 😛
    • So far so good, about 30km on it so far and nothing out of sorts yet thankfully
    • Look at @Kinkstaah's thread on the issue.
    • Hmm not really, I'd say its race car life or modified car life when you make 3 or 4 times the power Nissan designed the car for lol.
    • I'll let others with more breakage chime in, but I can't think of anyone who had a problem with the standard centre plate before they had a problem with the standard gears - the plate generally just gets replaced for safety when the gearset is upgraded. As for the gearsets, its not like they are OK at 600Nm and break at 601. Their longevity is a combination of how much torque you are making and how gentle you are on shifts (or not).
