OK, BIG price drop. $17,500

Guy came to look yesterday with Mechanic mate.

They don't like the look of the engine too much but have put down an offer.

Didn't try ignitor, so I still say it is missing after warms up due to that.

Has blow by, which is clearly visible cause I have no catch can yet, well I have it, which comes with car, but isn't installed.

Also has leak in back welsh plug. We are going to try and fix that up today.

- Blow-by

- Ignitor

- Welsh plug

That in mind. Taking any cash offers. $17,500.

swap for a good condition r33 gts-t series one with some small mods and a decent stereo :D

The reason for sale is dead set genuine. I live in Wickham, about two blocks down from a rehab place. The amount of below par looking citizens walking past my house is amazing. A nice car on the street is not what I need right now, I need to pay off my debts and wait till I have a garage so I can sleep at night.

Only way I'll swap is if I get enough cash adjustment so I KNOW I can sell it with in the next few months and come out with over $17,500 in the bank.

So anyone wanting a swap, send pics and accurate details of your rig as well as offer. Already have a reasonably solid swap for an Outback, which should be easy to sell, if nothing good comes along, he's getting it by Wednesday and I'll losing a crap load from what I have spent.

Are you a twat?

You sound like a twat.

It is also missing a GTR rear wing. Guess you are right Albert. Its not a GTR.

Never mind the GTR engine, VIN, Body shape, front bar, gearbox, turbos, seats. It is missing the standard centre cluster so I guess its no longer a GTR.

No wonder I couldn't sell it. Thanx buddy!

What I might do, is buy a couple of those center clusters and put them in VN commodores, then they will magically become GTRs! You are onto something here. This changing what are car is by modifying it thing could really take off...

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
