Nah not you mate, i meant SilverS2, info on his setup would probably help both of us, though if you put 9.5's on with no suspension work your car will look like shit.

+22 on a 9.5 will clear the coilovers at the front from what ive stuck in the calculators, but will have some serious poke without camber, lowness, roll/flare and most likely 225's.

Should be sweet at the rear with just a rolled guard. I think it works out to be pretty close to a 10" wide +18 in terms of fitment.

If anyone knows the final word on inner clearance it would be awesome if you could post it up, pictures would be good as well.

cheers,

Jess

Hey, didnt see this post till now, on the rear the 18inch by 9.5 with 30 offset 245 tyres, was needing rolling, and thats with tein coilovers lowered bout half way i think, sits nice on back, the front was definitely causing problems with 9.5wide and if i was to do it again id be going 9 or 8.5 wide.

i have 9.5 on front 30 offset, 245 wide tyres and it was dramas, the guards cuts up the tyres if its low, ive put some camber on and lowered a bit with rolled arches now, but its just scrapping slightly on full lock, but also due to guy that rolled them didnt do it perfectly but its not a huge problem now.

It all depends how low you want to go, the lower you go you run into problems on the front, with the tein coilovers it goes on like 2 or 3 wheels up a steepish driveway and ends up having trouble scraping and wheels spinning, so if your want the 9.5 it will have to sit medium height .

i think ill try 235/35 next time on front if possible, cause its right on the limits as it is, but just doable depending how low you go with the suspension.

I would say dont go 40 profile on the front , keep it 35 so that theres more clearance in the wheel arch and go less than 245 on front but you'll need them rolled on front still probably. then you'll have a full wheel arch and the widest that you can go and most aggressive offset too.

hey guys. pretty sure 18x9.5+20 will fit an R34 taxi with a roll a little camber and a little stretch. but would like to be adamant. can anyone confirm this?

dont want to buy the wrong sizes etc

thankscheers.gif

Help please?

Got two options for my 32 gts-t (coilies, front/rear camber arms, rolled guards):

1) 18x9.5 +22 all around

2) 18x9.5 +18 Front

18x10.5+18 Rear

Pretty sure first ones will fit with some camber, however, 2nd set I'm worried will be pushing it too far. Although, I do want something crazy. Opinions?

hey

i've got an r34 with work xt7 18x8.5 +32 and 18x9.5 +38

i don't think the rims suit the car so i'm looking at some xd9's and some others

anyway i'm pretty sure it should be ok but i thought i'd check i'm looking at going 18x9 +30 and 18x10+38, i should be able to get away with those sizes without any guard work?

they offsets it has now are good but i'd just like it to be that little but more flush with the guard

as you can see below it's not that low at the moment, i haven't had a chance to get around to playing with the height yet so i can lower the car as needed after getting the rims so it doesn't scrape on anything

yeah at the moment it's just not quite flush on both front and rear by the smallest amount, i can deal with it out a tiny bit on the rear, no 'moderfercation' required lol

Got anymore pics?

I went with similar spec wheels as your current ones, but +35 all round, should sit behind the guards a little (which is what I wanted, as I want to lower the car).

    • A 1.5 way is a 2 way. It is just a 2 way with a less aggressive ramp on overrun.
    • The ABS and/or TCS being missing/broken will not cause the engine to misbehave. It just casues CEL to come on and annoy you. The CEL is useless if it is always on, so you have to do the things you have to do to get rid of it, so it can be useful. Being a Stag ECU, then yes, it will not expect TCS to be present. But it will expect ABS to be present and working. You will need to either make the ABS CU talk to the ECU (don't ask me what that will take on an NA R34), and make sure the hardware is working....or, you just need to blank it out in Nistune. Do not persist with the stock ECU. You will just have problems. Gte it Nistuned. Start from there. DO YOU HAVE A BOOST SENSOR? The ECU's boost sensor that it. It is connected to the loom at the rear of the coil cover. Usually rides on the firewall on an R34, but is usually bolted down to a bracket along with all the other crap at the back of the coil cover when a Neo is dropped into another car. If you do not have it, the ECU will shit the bed. So, do you have one?
    • So sadly the fuel pump etc was not it. The pump and filter is new and it is still cutting around 4000 rpm. A read something about ABS/TCS (engine is from stagea and ECU too so no TCS) and i dont know for 100% that my car has ABS. It has ABS "cube" in engine bay but i dont think it works(or at least from my braking experience). Can be something like that?  I will be driving the car next week to Nistune tuner to properly see what is wrong...
    • the Tomei LSD fluid with lsd kit. frustrated that it was shaking the car to crap and affecting everything else negatively, I pulled the diff last night, and removed the lsd carrier, could not find anything wrong, however it seem to be 100 locked up acceleration, and deacceleration, wondering if they sent me a 2 way not a 1.5??  either way I installed the stock open carrier back in place. test drove everything smooth as butter again. no shake, shutter, random, what felt like clutch slip and grab or drive shaft play, etc. something differently wrong in side the lsd. I might bother taking it apart (if possible) to figure out what's going on inside this carrier, as bought too long ago to return.  only draw back is its back to a one wheel wonder.
