yeh i was thinking that too, but the car hasnt done many km's, so i hope its not that, ive treated it good, and its only done 70,000km..... what would be a good diff upgrade?

what exact model of tyres do u have?

if it spins third trust me mass, they cant be good :P

i got some new toyo t1rs, and although i dont have much power they are like night and day compared to my old tyres.

you dont really believe the odo do you :)

well i dunno, but my car is pretty clean Arup, and drives fine, id say it has around the 70,000km on the clock, by looking at the interior and the wear and tear its not bad, so i dunno how many k's but id believe it.... i am due for some new tyres, but its not just that guys, it spins them easy which is wat im trying to say, before the work was done i couldnt even chirp 3rd, i even struggled to spin 2nd with these tyres....

yeah your car is a very clean one, one of the best ive seen, i see what u mean, lots of extra power compared to before :) cant be bad!

i guess when u get your car back you will have plenty of fun frying your current tyres before u get some new ones :P

lol, i will indeed, just have to be carefull not to fry other things!!!!!

thanks for the comments, i think mine is a clean example... i have to take u for a spin soon Arup. Pete, you and i have to go for a cruise soon..

Is the condition known? The $600 1/1.5/2way second hand items have an unknown condition/possible rebuild.

$800-$900 second hand are generally a good second hand item.

Thats what I've came across anyhow. Obviously there are some good deals floating around, just need to be in the right place at the right time. :)

yeh i dunno man, mine seems fine for now, it was just a thought, cant really spend that money on a good working diff atm...

was thinking of working my gear box a little....

yeah i doubt the diff would be that much of a problem. best to save money for other stuff that might break.

either way, cubes, for you info you can get 1.5 or 2way kaaz lsds brand new to your door for $1150 with 2 bottles of oil, so i think 8-900 for a second hand is a bit on the dearer side :)

tuner just rang me and said he found 2 cracvked plugs while tuning today, had to replace them..... i have to say skylines are a hastle some times, he had to take the piping off 3 times LOL...

i cant wait till saturday.....

I've had issues with cracked plugs, that was such a nightmare. I had the plugs out 2 times and couldn't see any cracks, the third I found one plug with a crack, the tuner found another 1.

Need to be very very carefull tightening the suckers up. Keep it 90degree's, I was lazy and left the cross over pipe on and used a swivel. :)

yeh i know he was telling me, he took them out the first time to gap them, then had issues later so he checked them out to find one cracked, then again checked them to find another one cracked.

hey guys, my car is finally back..... overall im happy, although there are a few more things needed...

the car is a little laggy, hits full boost at close to 4000rpm, which is the bad part from all this, but i have to say its a lot stronger....

the car pulled over 240rwkw...

which i think isnt too bad, with the standard engine and cams...

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
