We have some stock available of the black with grey centre, black with red centre and black with blue centre - all of which are ready for immediate pickup or dispatch from our Kirrawee store.

:P

Hi steve,

I put an order in for a pair of the all red seats just wondering when they will be delivered, I am in Melb.

Thanks

Jamie

Hi Jamie, we are waiting the container to arrive which is due in around 3 weeks, once the seats arrive, all pre-orders will be dispatched immediately.

If you have any further questions please dont hesitate to ask

Regards,

Steve

Great service guys I have the seats thanks, now how do I put them in? I was hoping them would come with some sort of instructions, obviously they are designed for professional installation. Anyway I have ripped one of my standard seats out and taken the bits off it that I think I need. However, the mounting brackets are pretty much stuck to the sliding mechanism on the seat. Any suggestions, ideas or is there an online manual somewhere?

mspec, how does the black with grey centre go with the your car - im assuming its white. also are the seats comfortable to sit in, whats the material like.

They look really good for $350 a pair, they also go very well with my interior and yeah my car is white :) Installing them is a bit tricky but I am getting there.

mspec, wouldnt mind posting pics of the seats inside the car would you. i also have a white line and thinking of getting a combo colour other then black and red which seems to have alot pre-sold whilst the combo colour im assuming it already in stock ready to deliver.

haha once I get them in I will post some pics, I will only have time to get one in before the next track day and I'm not even going to bother with the other one just yet. To be honest I found it much easier to install my clutch than these seats :)

Interested in a pair of avail ones. How long does delivery take to WA? So the total cost is $430 ?

Thats correct Keefy

LoL. Err. So what colours are avail now? I want the leaver kind for reclining. Also, how long would it take for delivery to WA? Last thing is how much work is needed to get them fitted onto a R33 ?

Could you please tell me how much for post to Canberra??

$430 delivered

Cheers,

Steve :P

Are compliance plates required for these seats here in QLD?

Or can I just rip out the standard R33 GTS-T seats and fit these with the universal rails that come with it?

Hi mate, you are best to check the regulations in your state in regards to fitting. The seats include universal rails that need to be modified and adapted to your existing rails to bolt in, which usually requires some welding.

We recommend having your seats fitting by a competant workshop.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi steve,

have the seats arrived yet?????

Cheers

Jamie

Hi Jamie, they are on the water as I type, not long now.

    • I refreshed the OEM injectors with the kit and connected it up. It now ideals okay even with the IACV removed. Driving still has the same cutoff issue like the 550cc injectors so the issue is somewhere else. I bought FPG's Fuel Pump Hanger. I will be installing it next, but it is not as straightforward as I thought it was with my limited wiring knowledge and no instruction on the specific model I purchased (FPG-089). I also got the incorrect billet clamp as I could not find info on the OEM sizing.
    • Stop looking at the garage floor, and turn the radio up a bit louder if there's any strange noises...
    • No. Turbo shuffle and surge/flutter are not the same thing. Specifically, on a GTR, turbo shuffle has a definite meaning. On a GTR, the twin turbos are assumed to be the same thing and to operate the same way, exactly. In reality, they do not. Their exhaust sides are fed and exhaust a little differently, to each other. Their inlet sides are fed and exhausted a little differently, to each other. Consequently, when they are "working" they are often at slightly different points on the compressor map compared to each other. What this means, particularly when coming on boost, is that one of them will spool up and start producing extra flow compared to the other, which will put back pressure on that other compressor, which will push the operating point on that other compressor up (vertically). This will generally result in it bumping up against the surge line on the map, but even if it doesn't, it upsets the compressor and you get this surging shuffle back and forth between them That is "turbo shuffle" on a GTR. It is related to other flutter effects heard on other turbo systems, but it is a particular feature of the somewhat crappy outlet piping arrangement on RB26s. There are plenty of mods that have been attempted with varying levels of success. People have ground out and/or welded more material into the twin turbo pipe to try to prevent it. Extending the divider inside it works, removing material doesn't. There are aftermarket replacement twin turbo pipes available, and these exist pretty mush purely because of this shuffle problem.
    • You can temporarily* use lock collars to keep it in place until you can do the bushes, back the nuts off, slide them in, snug back up. *temporarily is often for ever
    • Thanks for the quick reply. To be clear, when you say turbo shuffle do you mean turbo flutter "stustustu" or referring to something else? I had thought they were the same thing. When I wrote the post my intention was to say it wasn't a flutter/compression surge sound. My understanding was that a flutter sound would be occurring when throttle is released, whereas I can keep the throttle in the same position for this noise
