Stock size of speaker housings

hello,guys,

I thought I start this thread to get stock size of speaker housings.I guess it will help other people like me who are still waiting for the car to finish compliancing and in the moment, want to start shopping for their audio stuff.

Can anyone tell how big the speaker housings are for the rear and front(doors) for the R33?

R32 - 6" rear - 4x6 front

R33- 6" rear 6" front. best brand to fit ( for a drop in anyway..) is clarion.

R34 - see R33.

How do you fit 6.5" into R33 door?

d00dz.... you just have to cut the stoc pod a little... doesnt take much to fit the extra .5 inch

i did it on mine.. (well previous owner did) so mynew 6.5" drivers fit in nicely

6 inch jl audio splits are too small to fit in stock r33 pods, and jaycar 6.5" are too large to fit in the standard pods. so its an odd size.

i made up mdf plates onto which i mounted the speaker, then screwed the mdf plate onto the door.

this way u get better mid bass than with the stock plastic pods too.
