in reply to C yar

I am getting something not common, and doing something more not common to it.

Should be interesting.

Once the project is complete i will reveal it.

Just need a donor something car and a donor something not common to complete it.

Easy

I sold my car to pay for furniture and an engagement ring and a spa for my new house....engagement ring being for the lady ofcourse.

if there is cash left at the end I will stick it toward a car, from that point on I am unsure depending on cash flow.

houses usually eat more than skylines in wages...doh

yeah i shouldve done volunteer work ages ago - i didnt really think about it til i heard an advert on radio them calling for volunteers .... and i thought why didnt i think of that sooner? been on my arse watching jerry springer all day lately - couldve been doing something really constructive with my time :D

Cant you ge tback into doing work for the zoo Joe .... especially since your now on holidays .... i'd expect they would appreciate studying vets donating their time :)

i bet my parents comeback with the New Years Resolution to lose weight .... they do it every year!! and every year "its for real this time" :D

I eat so much better when my parents arent here .... for most people its the opposite .... i buy my own food .... if i cook i dont have to cook for everybody ... just me .... mum isnt here bringing home fast food every second day cos she cant be bothered cooking .... from that side of things its awesome cos i take care of myself far better. My cat likes it too cos i usually give her a 1/3 of my dinner .... she really likes pork!!

    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
    • For DBA, check out their guide table here. https://dba.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Direct_Replacement-Guide-2021.2.pdf   Additionally they have some other guides and info on how to make sure you choose the right pad.
    • Sorry, just assumed that talk of coloured pads meant EBC red/green/yellow/shit stuff. I don't know the DBA pads, but it's a reasonable bet that they will be OK. DBA make good stuff generally. Those 4000 series rotors I linked to are very good. I may well replace the RDA rotors I have with those when required.
    • The average previous owner for these cars were basically S-chassis owners in the US. Teenagers or teenager-adjacent. I often tell people that neglect is easier to fix than something that was actively "repaired" by previous owners.
