Computer engineer specialising in database development and artificial intelligence.

So yes I can help if you can't work out what mail merge does in MS word (as my mum asked me when I told her I finished my degree).

I also do media design and layout, usually helping mates do logos for their businesses, design ads, promotional materials etc.

Oh and I work at J-spec, so I can usually organise buying and shipping small parts from japan at cost, as long as its not a major hassle.

I'm hangin out to see what SkylineGeoff brings to the table :D

I drive a fast car so if anyone needs to get anywhere really fast... ohh wait, so does everyone here.

lol, i shoulda been here earlier -

as an architectural draftsman i draw exclusively in 2d using Acad, also starting to use a bit of 3d Revit.

so if ya need some floor plans drawn up for your floor sanding (overkill?), i'm the guy  :D

it just so happens that my dad actually works for boeing as a catia operator, so it's possible he knows your mate INASNT. he reckons that there has been a bit of an increase in the number of skylines in the boeing carpark of late...

He hasent got a skyline.

He got a pay increase at boeing so he bough a new car, which i havent seen yet.

Well.. Another engineer here..

I'm a product development engineer at a satellite navigation company.. If anyone wants stupidly expensive GPS receivers and simulators let me know..

I specialise in embedded hardware & software - real time stuff, embedded linux, hardware design etc.. Might build an ECU based on a 400MHz StrongARM one day :D

Hey ppls.

Well, I'm looking for somebody to Sand and Polish about 65 square meters of floorboards in my house.  Almost black stain, and matt finish.

So, does anybody here do it?

Should we start a register of what people do?

BASS OUT

yeah my dad has been doing it for 40 years

I'm a professional money spender  If you ever need to spend some money, let me know and I'll tell you the best way of blowing it away and never seeing it again.

Ferni, we all drive fast cars but some are faster than others  No Al, just coz yr car's red doesn't mean it's faster than everyone else...

wow I feel unskilled! :(

I'm the Jill to ylwgtrs Jack!

I can paint/service/sew, PA/Admin/IT/Webdesigner/Photographer/Chef but first & foremost always a mum...

No degrees here :D

Who does tinting and who makes steel brackets?

Chris don't worry I'll be sure to call you, if I ever need someone to post to SAU for me :D hehe

Yeah right, sorry.  I meant xRHETTx

what does xRHETTx mean anyway?

Yeah, I used to draft in Autocad, and then model in Solid Edge

Now I sell the machines we make insted of designing them.  I do very very little drawing now.  I have somebody to do it for me!

Well first i thought it meant Rotary Hemi Electronic injection Twin Turbo

Then i realised it is just my first name wih Xs each side, like straight edge hardcore guys used to do back in the day. Hardcore as in music.

Ive been working for the last 2 years doing autocad and Proengineer. I can also use SolidEdge pretty well and work is soon changing over to Unigraphics, so ill soon have that down pretty well soon.

I can also use Fluent for performaing computational fluid dynamics problems and use Nastran/Femap for finite element analysis. Hows that sound?

All other things aside, I'm going into the home renovation biz with the wifey and spend lots of time travelling. Sick of corporate/govt/military crap. Did someone say a month in Thailand on Koh Samui????

All the stuff posted above is true if you have the need/dollars and want to avoid Govt/NATO/UN red tape. Not keen on tac nukes over 20 kiloton. Bad for sunburn.

Not I... I don't cosider the GTS "fast".

and no Kaz, it dosen't have gold rims... although it sounds like a good idea.

    • When you crank your car, and hit it with a timing light, can you see a steady crank timing?
    • Oh, forgot to add, A few months ago I was getting mixture codes and the car was using crap loads of fuel. You could smell the unburned fuel in the exhaust, it was crazy strong. Economy was over 17.5 l/100 and usually around 19. I smoked the engine and found a leaky CCV hose which I replaced and then I replaced my two pre cat O2 sensors, I also replaced the MAF. This fixed my mixture codes and improved my exonomy but I'm still 14 - 15 l/100 when pottering about town so something is still amiss. Throttle response is much better and it has more pep but I'd like to know why it's still so thirsty (and I'm hoping that whatever it is gives me a bit more poke).
    • Car is on factory injectors/z32 maf/ q45 throttle body/ z32 ecu with nistune
    • Hello all, currently finishing up a rb25 swap into my s14. Having issues with starting, car has spark (confirmed by pulling a plug and watching it spark), has fuel(confirmed by checking pulse/voltage at injectors all spark plugs are soaked in fuel). Car cranks over and pops into the exhaust with a heavy fuel smell but no attempt to start or run, I have torn the timing cover off and triple confirmed timing, turned the CAS in multiple spots both directions, attempted to start with coolant temp and maf unplugged, checked my fuel lines and made sure they weren’t backwards, checked voltage at cas/injectors/coilpacks, made sure all the grounds in the harness are connected and added a few grounding straps (1 from chassis to block, 1 from chassis to head, and 1 from chassis to igniter chip) I am getting stumped here. As a last ditch effort I made a full grounding harness tonight that’s going to run from the battery and add an extra ground from the battery onto the coil pack harness/igniter chip/ intake manifold/ Wiring specialties harness ground/ and alternator. I’m hoping maybe the grounding harness will fix it here but posting here to see if anyone has any other ideas on what else I can check. My fuel pressure is unknown right gauge will be here tomorrow.  IMG_3206.mov
    • yeah I was shocked when I checked my spare OEM on and as below that's how they come from Nissan. (side interesting note new NEO gearbox and replacement park lack the brass bush on the tips and its just all alloy) unsure about damage to the box currently back at 1110 to be pulled down/inspected and selector fork replaced as he built it previously and given the never before seen failure on his billet forks he is replacing it under warranty. He said he has used always OEM the keyway tab without issue for years so it could be an unlucky coincidence. I did talk to him about the sharp corners and stress concentration too. Re: hard shifts i got 7+ years out of the OEM one and the fork itself failed not the keyway. so could be bad luck as I said or an age thing + heat cycles in box and during fabrication of billet?
