I remember a while ago there was a thread in here regarding brake upgrades for R32 GTRs. It had a link to some F50 Brembos and another set of brakes from Nismo I think. The post said "get these (link)".

Does anyone still know what the links were? I've done a search but can't find them.

Gav - One of the guys that set up CSC used to work for Harrop, so similar ideas I'm sure, but for very tidy prices in compara. Steve Glenny used the four piston 350mm kit front and rear on his R33 GT-R N1 in Targa a few years ago. There is also a 380kW R33 GTR down here that runs on the track in Targa Class that has the same 350mm kit front and rear.

That was enough for me so thats what I've got coming!

Agree - looks the part.

Any links to CSC? Where are they made?

I totally warped a set of newly bedded of DBA 5000 Slotted 330mm (which are actually 324mm!) discs on my standard 4 piston Brembos within three stages at Rallye Burnie this year... such a small disc is not highly rated in my book on a heavy car like a GTR.

I just put on the 324mm DBA 4000's on my gts-t

Fair enough, personaly I'd want monobloc calipers before I'd start stressing about a slightly longer pad and two extra small pistons when your talking 343mm/355mm rotors.

But there is a bit of evidence going around that monobloc calipers arent as robust as good 2 piece calipers... if you were throwing a set away mid season then the monoblocs seem to be the go as they are rigid and light, but over many high heat cycles and mechanical loads there is a bit of evidence around that they will begin to deflect more then 2pce calipers.

There is reason to believe that the steel bolts in the bridge make for a more rigid caliper then the aluminium used in the bridge of a monobloc caliper.

As for the 6, 8 crazy 16 piston (yes Alcon make them) calipers a well designed four piston calipers will always distort less for a given piston area than an equivelant six piston caliper designed for the same rotor size and wheel clearance

INASNT - My old Brembo's and 324s are now an a GTSt (track - edit)car and work a treat. Very good upgrade for a GTSt... and we even made them fit under OEM GTR 16" rims!

Roy - I've read similar and considered there might be something in it, but with so many front running FIA GT, Le Mans, SCCA Sports Cars and many of cateogries using them, I figured if teams like that who seach for hundreds, not tenths of a second advantage, monobloc must be the ducks.

    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
