I used to wash it like 1 per week but now it seems to have gotten to once per 3 weeks... Guessing commitments like everyone else. :P

WAXING???

My god never knew such things existed

Havent waxed mine ever

What is the purpose of that? to make it pretty and shhinnyyyy...

heheheh

:(

Loving your sig!!

Loving your avatar !!

Oh and once a week for me too....either on friday arvos or sat mornings. Black car with white rims is the WORST combo to keep clean

I wash the wheels like 2-3 times a week though.....does wonders for the overall "cleanliness" of the car...

You all laugh at the water restrictions now ...but wait till we run out of water ....then what are you going to do!!?? ...

Mine gets washed whenever it rains ...i dont even have time to drive it let alone wash it ...

how do u keep the dust off when the water settles?

Wipe it down? but the dust will streak and scratch the paint?

Im not paying for a lack of water due to the governments poor planning. What about the water pipes that are constantly leaking due to poor maintenance from syd water?

Sydney Water are losing money because people are using less water, so they stick up the price for using less...

You will be when there's not enough drinking water left in Sydney, and it either has to be transported in from elsewhere or people compete for what's left.

Since water is a chemical that practically every living thing is physically addicted to, its not like you can just choose not to drink if the price of water starts matching petrol in its rate of increase.

Sure the government has f**ked up, but its just retarded to live by the mentality, "Hey, if other people are doing something that I know is stupid, then its OK for me to do it too". Australia's most popular car is the Toyota Corolla; if its good enough for the majority of the car-buying public, why don't you sell your niche-model grey-import coupe and park your bum in a Levin?

I wash my car as often as I can. I washed it twice last weekend, but before that it was about two weeks.

One of my mates has moved in to a relatively new apartment block, that has a car washing bay that recycles water. I just go visit him.

So not only can I wash my car under cover for a more spot-free dry, but I'm also not "wasting" potable water.

My car gets washed maybe once every three months. I swear that every time I wash the fscking thing it rains the next day (almost always after a long dry spell, so it deposits a heap of dirt too) :) It sits in a garage most of the time so its not a major issue.

I think people washing their car once a week are nuts, but that's just me. Maybe I value my time too much? :)

As for water restrictions, I always try to abide by the craptastic bucket thing, but its so retarded. A quick hose is so much more effecient than trying to accurately throw a buck of water over a car. Frankly, I don't think that restriction was designed to actually save water, but actively discourage people from washing their car by making it a hassle.

If I had a decent full time job I'd just pay for someone else to wash it every three or four weeks.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
