I had 5 runs and left just as the burnouts started at 9. Yeh should be a fairly low 12 with some proper setting up. .

One of my runs - Had a great start with a 1.70 60foot (lowest for the night), hit 2nd gear pulling damm hard and the bloody ashtray fold out thing in front of the gear stick comes crashing out and blocking me going into 3rd gear!! Damm thing was full of loose change so it ended sending it all over the floor of the car haha..Cost me a good run!!

The ashtray ended up in the back seat somewhere..couldn't believe it when happened grrr

The 12.5 was at a 1.7 60 ft 1.79 to be exact..did the 1.70 on the ashtray affected run :)

Had a few close runs with MADGTR 2nite, he did a best of 12.4 i think.

Well done :)

Interesting, the first (and only time) i went to the drags with my stock turbos, making about 250rwkw i ran 12.4@111mph... there was more in it but the strip was crap for traction that day i was told by other regulars. Axle tramping all the way through 1st and 2nd sucks.

Do you feel there is anymore MPH in your current setup?

The R32 is also lighter so i would of expected it to be a little quicker than my R33.

Had a run out at WSID tonight..

12.5 at 112mph :D with a 1.7 60 foot

Perfect 60 ft , i only wish i could do that in mine but then again i have an extra 100 odd kg on me !

Good to see MADGTR having a go , if i knew i would have beeing there to match race him , as we have the same set up in our cars .

What was your trap speed Paul ?

The track would have been very average last night. Their hasn't been any racing on the track for about 10-14 days due to bad weather. It's also been about 3-4 days since I last seen the sun so the track temp would have been very low.

The run that you missed 3rd I remember my reaction from the launch (it looked way faster than the other runs) thinking "this has gotta be a low 12 for sure" then you missed 3rd :D

Their is certainly a 12.0-12.2 in the car, just a matter of time.

Good nite, pity about the weather (not many cars).

becuase an r32 gtr intercooler can run about .9-1 bar efficently before it starts to restrict the turbos(run out of flow capacity). an r34 gtr cooler flows a bit better from memory its about 1.2 bar

I think it should be a tad bit higher with a good driver (no offense), quick gear changes, and revving it out all the way to 8 :P

Hell wrxhoon did 118mph in his 34 gtr with stsandard mods with gtss. the heads a bit better than it is on the 32 and 33 so hes got a bit more power .....

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
