Love it.

i wanted to stick the s15 front on my s14 but the kit is fibreglass all the way and then i was thinking it might be dodgy and not fit right cos they are coming from the US. Its called strawberry face cos apparently japanese for strawberry is ICHIGO which is also simile to the word for 15 or some crap. so they call it strawberry face.

still thinking about it though, would make a nice showcar.

bow down b4 my s15/s13 sil80 :)

Well if u get one from bomex japan (like I did) then u're guranteed a perfect fit, coz as it sez on the box its manufactured for a 180sx, they even have different kits for different year 180s :)

Actually i tell a lie, the strawberry face kit that I got wasn't off Bomex Japan, but it was off a wreck of a 180 (same yr as mine 1989) that was invoved ina side on collision. But the guy who drove that car apparently got it from Bomex Japan.

Dunno bout the US versions they might be bodgy copies.

Its called the ICHIGO kit and yes it means both strawberry and S-fifteen.

If u want to make it a showcar, my cuz entered it into autosalon under his name with sum club and he ended up comin home with an award (not a trophy mind you) for "best hybrid" from one of the sponsors... he now has it hanging off his wall and refuses to give it to me, even tho he won it off my car... the bastardo.

This was long b4 it was trendy to have a 180sx tho, so dunno if anyone paid attention to it. A lil piece (the rear quarter) of it was in one of the pics in hot4s lol

I fink you may find the Cefiro is based on the R32 Skyline platform... same running gear, 4 doors and mainly autos, though you do find the odd manual...

I wanted one for a while... still considering one

Cheers

Slaz

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
