the lady was follwing me like 2 meters or even less...

What's the point tailgating someone in ONE lane ROAD!?!?!

I understand if it was two lanes...

I was ready to got outta car and abuse the hell out of it almost!

If you in hurry or emergency flash light or something...ffs

anyway there is my bitch for today!

cheers

I've never been tailgated. People can't keep up the weak arsed c*nts :D

I'm so good that I do 100 on an 80 zone... in the left lane. So GT-R owners have somewhere to go...

I take it on board though - it seems that females are getting more aggressive. This is very common in Sydney.

Most people don't know what the proper following distance is or just simply don't care!

2-3 seconds (dosn't sound like much but it saves accidents from happening)

Dam tail gaters!! (need those device things that James Bond uses!! That would get rid of them)

I have a colour camera ( a digital rear view mirror) that I can record from and it points backwards( handy because the closer they get the clearer the number plate picture) so the next person that gets too close I might just show the footage to the police.

I dont get tail gated much... If i do then i rest my foot on the brake pedal so the lights come on and if they persist then give it a quick jab...

If they look mad as all s$#t then just move over and let em go, cause one day i pulled over and the guy's behind pulled over too and one had a baseball bat and the other day a tire leaver... So i bolted....

I hate people who park right up ya bumper at the traffic lights... Dont they relise that the legal limit is 1 metre....

Some times they park so close you cant even see one bit of the bonnet and that scares me..... Expecially when their driving a s$#t box XF falcon or VC comm.....

I always try and get out of other peoples way if at all possible, but if your tailgated in a one lane road and your doing the speed limit then flip them the bird and start slowing down.

I must admit that I do give people the hurry up when they are in the right-hand lane and traveling slowly, I think if everyone was a little more courteous in there driving then there would be less road-rage.

See'ya:burnout:

I couldn't give a rats ass to these monkeys. Just wait till something jumps out in front of me and I'll get to see how good their braking skills are, and how much abuse their going to get for ramming me.

Best solution is just to pull left, slow down, change lanes and then sit right up their ass and see how they like it.

Either that or those hand held laser thingos (which i think are illegal these days) shined in their eyes soon makes them back off.

but of course, i never do that :(

thats a bad idea! leaves you open for them to dictate the speed and possibly them slamming their brakes and making you at fault.... i'd rather your laser suggestion... but i don't have one either.. hehe :(

Laser guided lougie's would be an uncouth way to solve the problem, slowing down to almost running pace infuriates tailgaters no end and is the perfect respose if you have the courage, but being the p*ssy that I am and also living in the crime free streets of west Sydney I usually yield.

if someone tailgates me for no reason or they're in the wrong, expect me to slow down to 40, then 20.... and everytime you try to overtake, i wont let you! haha especially taxi drivers... :(

Yeah, someone tried this on me years ago when I had my 200(b not sx).

They'd cut me of turning right into a street when I was turning left, so I was close behind them....

They slowed right down to 20, i went round they sped up, etc etc for at least 200m.

In the end I just drove into them. Weren't they surprised.

I knew this one guy that had set up one of those window jets that you have on the bonnet to clean the windscreen on the back bumper of his car and he filled it with brake fluid and when anyone got to close he would let them have it!(must be fitted to older style car because some fluid may end up on your car (goodbye paint) but he had a old car so he didn't care.

for some reason i get tailgated a fair bit, i just step on the brake now and then and they back off, excpet for a few heros that flip the bird because they nearly ran up my arse on the west gate bridge then cut off other road users in an attempt to "floor it past me" yelling because im only doinf 90 in an 80 zone!!!!!!

ASRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

this just happened last night ... i was following a friend to go to some place .. we made a u turn cause she had gone too far ... she just got a brand new integra so she was all careful and not going fast at all and i was following her ... as she was speeding up after the u turn in a 2 lane, rather slowly admittedly but there was noone else on the road so it was ok ... then we sped up to about 50 km ... and this guy in a shit motorbike rides up close ... its a 2 lane road and we were clearly on the left ... but he rides up really close ... like probably over on my lane ... slows down to the same speed and stays for a while .. i'm thinking what the ****?? after a while he speeds up to my friend ... and does the same thing ... she got scared and put her brakes on a little i could tell cause of her back lights ... so i got pissed off and speed right up to him ... met him at the lights and stared at his ugly face ... i soo wanted to get out of the car and beat the **** out of him but my gf was in the car and she was a little scared ... anyways ... lights go green and i kept looking at him ... and moved off ... and so did he ... then i floored it and the ****er couldn't even keep up ... i've got an auto ... and i didn't even put the power button on ... i then indicated right to make a u turn and he followed but he just kept going into the street and i sped off ... later arrived at where we were meant to be ... parked the car ... and could see him driving down the road a couple of times probably to look for me ... i reparked the car to the back cause i was worried he might spot it and do something to it ... ****ing bogans man!!!!!

    • Yes, it is entirely possible to twincharge a Skyline. It is not....without problems though. There was a guy did it to an SOHC RB30 (and I think maybe it became or already was a 25/30) in a VL Commode. It was a monster. The idea is that you can run both compressors at relatively low pressure ratios, yet still end up with a quite large total pressure ratio because they multiply, not add, boost levels. So, if the blower is spun to give a 1.4:1 PR (ie, it would make ~40 kPa of boost on its own) and the turbo is set up to give a 1.4:1 PR also, then you don't get 40+40 = 80 kPa of boost, you get 1.4*1.4, which is pretty close to 100 kPa of boost. It's free real estate! This only gets better as the PRs increase. If both are set up to yield about 1.7 PR, which is only about 70 kPa or 10ish psi of boost each, you actually end up with about 1.9 bar of boost! So, inevitably it was a bit of a monster. The blower is set up as the 2nd compressor, closest to the motor, because it is a positive displacement unit, so to get the benefit of putting it in series with another compressor, it has to go second. If you put it first, it has to be bigger, because it will be breathing air at atmospheric pressure. The turbo's compressor ends up needing to be a lot larger than you'd expect, and optimised to be efficient at large mass flows and low PRs. The turbo's exhaust side needs to be quite relaxed, because it's not trying to provide the power to produce all the boost, and it has to handle ALL the exhaust flow. I think you need a much bigger wastegate than you might expect. Certainly bigger than for an engine just making the same power level turbo only. The blower effectively multiplies the base engine size. So if you put a 1.7 PR blower on a 2.5L Skyline, it's like turboing a 4.2L engine. Easy to make massive power. Plus, because the engine is blown, the blower makes boost before the turbo can even think about making boost, so it's like having that 4.2L engine all the way from idle. Fattens the torque delivery up massively. But, there are downsides. The first is trying to work out how to size the turbo according to the above. The second is that you pretty much have to give up on aircon. There's not enough space to mount everything you need. You might be able to go elec power steering pump, hidden away somewhere. but it would still be a struggle to get both the AC and the blower on the same side of the engine. Then, you have to ponder whether you want to truly intercool the thing. Ideally you would put a cooler between the turbo and the blower, so as to drop the heat out of it and gain even more benefit from the blower's positive displacement nature. But that would really need to be a water to air core, because you're never going to find enough room to run 2 sets of boost pipes out to air to air cores in the front of the car. But you still need to aftercool after the blower, because both these compressors will add a lot of heat, and you wil have the same temperature (more or less) as if you produced all that boost with a single stage, and no one in their right mind would try to run a petrol engine on high boost without a cooler (unless not using petrol, which we shall ignore for the moment). I'm of the opinnion that 2x water to air cores in the bay and 2x HXs out the front is probably the only sensible way to avoid wasting a lot of room trying to fit in long runs of boost pipe. But the struggle to locate everything in the limited space available would still be a pretty bad optimisation problem. If it was an OEM, they'd throw 20 engineers at it for a year and let them test out 30 ideas before deciding on the best layout. And they'd have the freedom to develop bespoke castings and the like, for manifolds, housings, connecting pipes to/from compressors and cores. A single person in a garage can either have one shot at it and live with the result, or spend 5 years trying to get it right.
    • Good to know, thank you!
    • It's a place for non car talk. There's whoretown which is general shit talking. But also other threads coving all sorts of stuff(a lot still semi car related)
    • Looked it up. It sounds so expensive lmao I'd rather not. Awwwww but I just love that sound
    • If you want the screaming "weeeee" sound, just let the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the turbo break a little. It'll go "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" everytime its on boost...
