Hi guys, just came back from a tune at tilbrooks in adelaide by martin.

Tune was done at 16psi....at first we got 240 rwkw at 18psi but i decided to settle for 235rwkw @ 16psi as martin said r33 conrods and internals will not last too long will too high boost.

Your power curve looks nice and smooth, but your AFR's seem very rough

OK, not picking on the poster of this comment, I have deleted who it was for that reason.

But I am getting very tired of this slavish belief that having a flat A/F ratio trace is somehow a reflection of good tuning. It's NOT, all it indicates is the guy doing the tuning decided on an A/F ratio and then tuned to it. Any idiot can do that.

But (there is always a but) that ASSUMES that the one A/F ratio results in the best power at that rpm. And we all know that is CRAP, 12.X to 1 may well yield more power than 12.Y to 1 at certain rpm points. A GOOD tuner aims for a smooth power curve, not a smooth A/F ratio trace.

I know which I would much rather have.

:) cheers ;)

excellent result from the 2530, thats a great looking curve gotta be happy.

id say hes seeing 16psi by about 3800-3900rpm, as id see ~18+ at 4grand.

Actually, lets do an SK and do some maths  from the looks of the curve, he hits full boost at about ~110km/h. divide by 29 gives us 3793rpm (give or take, assuming 245/45/17)

saw your car there today by the way :)

Did you flow test your Nismo 555's? and did they all come in at about the same readings?

Nope...I did not flow test them, they came with a flow test report. Average flow was 565. Minimun was about 560 I think.

LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
